I feel this Vinod Mirani doesnt know anything about films and has no trace as to wat is apening in Box Office ...he wrote To Batt Pakki is a flop which is just opposite . My name is Khan is Average ....Love Sex Dhokha is Opens well .....is he joking .???? its all the opposite
MNIK is a pathetic poor cousin of Forrest Gump. The sequences were muddled up and took the viewers thru an incredulous maze of events. Hurricane Katrina which happened in August 2005 was interwoven with Presidential campaign which happened in 2008. The intelligence of the audience was taken for granted thru out the movie. Overall, it had too many political overtones and seemed a crude attempt to spread a particular message. MNIK would not have run even so much but for the tacit understanding that SRK had with Shiv Sena... I am sure a cut of the initial box office bounce was shared with Thackerays. Overall the movie MNIK is pathetic and deserved to be a flop!

The worst thing is they showed it in Georgia instead of New Orleans. Georgia is least affected by Hurricanes. In fact Georgia is only to some extent affected by Tornadoes. So that was a technical error which was not needed at all. When they plan to release movies overseas and in US why cant they do some basic research? Anyway the movie was boaring, leangthy and too preachy.

You are absolutely right Mohan... The movie was soooo boring and badly executed... That willemina scene was too much yaar.... Bad movie I wasted hell lot of money for that one.. I seriously believe it was just because of Shiv Sena incident and paid reviews (SRK would have paid them) which made people watched that movie... Bad movie... Actually that dumbo is trying to compete with Aamir but he can never do that... He need Karan Johar, Chopras, Farha and Kajol for a Hit... That too malodramatic movies...
Now days (99% age of the films are in all languages) films are totally meaning less, the producers aim is only to earn money at any cost (by more exposure of sex, fight, cruiality etc)and there is no meaning in the records. also. Now days heros are only appearing in one or two films ,after that they will dis appear. And there is lack of music (sangeet) based films. There is no role models for young generation. The totally film land mis guiding young generation, and polluting our Indian tradition.
The movie "Toh Baat Pakki" was shown recently on NDTVImagine somewhere on 21st Mar,2010 then how come it is still running at theaters ??? it's really surpising and confusing as well.
Wrong! Comedy films rules more. Now days people want to relax. They dont like tensions. There is nothing new in love stories, Sex is avail on internet,CDs etc. & Horro films nothing but a camera tricks.
