First Time Raja Sen did great job
by Pankaj Chaudhary on Mar 20, 2010 10:17 PM

I have not seen this movie..but I am sure this time raja sen is right. I am following this rediff review from last few years but I never written anything here in this discussion board. One thing I can say LSD's concept is very bold no doubt about it...I saw his interview on youtube. After seeing his interview I can visualize about LSD, it reflects our Indian adulthood. Hatts off..to Dibakar banarjee . Keep up the good work

We''re finally there!

I just watched the movie and i'll say it scores on every aspect. The direction is hard-hitting (hardly surprising) and the actors have really done justice to whatever role they played. Just like the best of the best movies, it's not perfect and there are a couple of things that seemed odd but we can sure as hell allow that.
I won't talk about the plot here but the stories have been connected very well and overall it was a very engaging experience.
The thing that pleased me the most was the liberal use of 'gaalis'! It's something that's found nearly in every language, every culture and I have waited for years to see free flowing, natural and context-wise appropriate use of abuses in a bollywood movie! We've finally stopped beating around the bush on the pretext of maintaining decency.
We've finally started experimenting with interesting, odd, engaging, seen but not noticed issues.
We've finally started making good movies!
We're finally there! :)

Completely bowled over ! Stupendous Effort
by Srinivas Agnihotri on Mar 20, 2010 04:26 PM

To say the least, I was completely bowled over by the movie which is path breaking in every which way. If you are in a habit of deriving 'righteous' and 'moralistic' messages from movies you will be sorely disappointed as the movie clearly treads into unchartered territories and it makes a stupendous effort to be path breaking in nearly each and every area movie making like casting, cinematography, editing, screenplay and direction.
Would specially like to mention about the director whose work fairly impressed me in 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' and not so much in 'Oye Lucky Lucky Oye'. However this movie is completely different and highly impressive; the plot holds on right till the last frame (which was not the case in 'Oye Lucky Lucky Oye')
The casting is amazing and clearly shows the tremendous hidden talent that India has.
Out of habit though, my message cannot be over without commenting on Mr.Raja Sen's review! It is a sheer COINCIDENCE that this time the movie rating and the cinema experience actually match! I still maintain please dont go by Mr.Sen's review to decide whether to watch a movie or not !!
To conclude, if you have taste for the 'unconventional' and an eye for 'details' and stomach for ‘Sanguinariness’ please go ahead and enjoy the movie. Rest others avoid it you will find it a waste of time and money.

My rating is 4.5 out of 5
