If movie is about India then Freida is a great choice. Almost 98% of indin girls look like her. The current bollywood actresses are the result of Afghan (pathans), turk, greek, arab and persian invasions.
James Bond movies are done by one of best moviemakers..superbly played by sean connery,roger moore and pierce brosnan.but daniel craig is not in their class and the movie will only sell due to special effects and action . ofcourse bond girls also have been good so it is a achievement to land the role. Frieda still hasnt proved in many roles but maybe in this one she might..

Also if Brosnan is also there without any special effects and gadgets, you would have felt the same

To just let you know the Bond movies series starting with Daniel craig have been intentionally left out with car racings, bombings etc etc special effects.
This is to show the raw and lethal power of bond upto the maximum extent wherever possible.
she is not applealing,she is not gorgeous,if i would have been at the stage to select her for movies,i surely would have rejected her .. na she is not charming ...
