Not a good review

A good reviewer is someone who can stifle personal bias even while taking the reviewee apart. The sad thing about this review is that it reeks of inconsistency and bias. Its a critique written for the sake of one. Noone after watching both the Filmfare and the Oscars can ever think the former was more watchable than the other. Looks like Mr Sen caught the rushes instead of the whole show.

Not saying the show was the greatest, not by a long margin, but it wasn't as bad as he's made it to be. You can always argue about the choices, but there's a certain inevitability about the final award winners that you can't avoid in this mutli-award-multi-media world that we live in these days. The Oscars was and always has been more than just a award ceremony.

Best Screenplay for Hurt Locker ?
by xbm on Mar 10, 2010 11:23 AM  | Hide replies

It was a big surprise that the jury chose Hurt Locker for the Screenplay. When clearly it should have gone to Tarentino flick. I think most of the awards to Hurtlocker is just an women's day gift.

Raja Sen ... u mean to say tht the 6000 odd Academy members who voted goofed up big time while u sitting few thousand miles away having done nthing much in ur life other thn writing moronic reviews on anything under the sun is the most apt guys to decide on their awards...
Why don't u do somethin substantial in ur life and then join Academy and then air ur views while acception ur own OSCAR ... too much a ask for u in this lifetime.....

Well said Saurabh... i fully second your views.. A universally hated loser like Raja Sen thinks who has zero sensiblity/knowledge of any gener of Cinema thinks that he can criticize the selection of the universally acclaimed Oscar committee.. huh!!!
