I watched the movie today - The evening shows were all full. This is because family do prefer to watch the evening shows and this movie is a complete family entertainer.
After a long time - a nice family entertainment movie is released. The is just a little more than 2 hours, which doesnt bore you like other movie MNIK - which is long and very boring and you see people walking out of theatre after interval.
This movie keeps you up with its light moments, Nothing extravagant. I am not here to tell you - GO and watch. But if you want to have a decent time with family, you can prefer this movie over the other released.

It opened to 25% collections...meanwhile MNIK has grossed around 180 crores worldwide...have a sense of cinema instead of going for bland comedies...

SRK is SRK, thats it.. it doesn't mean that his movie never flop, yeah, MNIK grossed 180 crore or whatever crore, all credits goes to international market, like we love any hollywood crap, same to NRI's. they just wants to watch SRK or whatever K's movie. that's it.
Atithi is indeed a good movie and no doubt. must watch..!

MNIK is 3 days nautanki, which saved this movie from disaster to FLOP only. First 3 days it collected 32 crores, and after 3 weeks it has collecet 70 crores only. That means take out that 32 crores which mainly due to controvercy with Shivsena or else it was not able to recover 50% of it's cost. Mind, it was sold to FOX with a 100 crores deal. If few media claiming is it HIT, there is nothing surprise to us, cos we know long b4 from day 1 how they have sold their pride of fair analysis and gave 5 stars for this pathetic movie.
If this is hit, then Kambaqt Ishq is a bigger HIT than this who collected 100 crores in just 4 days claimed by Sajid Nadiwala, producer. So, get the point, and do the reality check. It may ve done good business in abroad for one week only, and in India it was 3 days nautanki after then it crashed heavily like Ramu ki AAG. =))

However good the movie is, the distributors have made mistake of releasing it just after the superhit MNIK which is still doing so well. this movie will also suffer same fate as kck and teen patti. distributors should wait for at least 6 weeks before they release any movie,else they will also be crushed under MNIK onslaught the only people who will watch this movie are those who could not get tickets for mnik

HAHAHAHA no doubt its a joke. Today since i didnt get the tickets for ATKJ i tried to search for a thearter where MNIK is been shown.. Surprise surrise.. its been already removed from major theaters...

You went mad...MNIK has given now 2-3 screens and all of them are running empty...This movie opened to 50-60% occupancy on friday and has around 10-12 screens. Budget of this movie is less than 15cr and public gave thump up to it. so no chance to be flop.

absolutely...the theatre owners are doing a disservice to people by putting up these waste movies...instead they should maintain MNIk in most screens so that more and more people can see and enjoy the great movie.

The reviewer has mentioned the Name. The bengali movie is named Agantuk. It is awesome movie. Utpal dutt plays the guest.
