Its almost a detective story with few actions. The story line is good. Any reviews about robin hood?

The movie starts promisingly but not that great during the second half. The story line was predictable.
My Mel favorites, other than the ones listed above - The man without a face (also directed by him, probably as good as Tim, in the same genre), Maverick, Payback, Ransom, Conspiracy theory, Mad Max and The Bounty.

Yes. He only directed Apocalypto and did not act.
But its an awesome movie. I still wonder how can he make a movie that interesting and make people sit & watch for 2 hrs with a story about red indians who speak no english and with literally unknown faces.

yes i to admire this movie..i accidentaly came across this movie but it made me to sit full 2 hrs..really excellent imagination...good sound good scence & extraordinary imagination & costumes..

i think the writer was talking about mr.mel gibson's acting performances only. the movie you have mentioned was only directed by him. if that were the case then passion of christ would probably be his best film as director.
