She got the role by persistence.....she had the guts to stick in a film industry with the average looks/ avg acting skills & may be thats what Danny Boyle was looking for...... Persistence pays!!! Can you stick for 5 yrs running from pillar to post........and not knowing if u will be successful in movie line at all?? Thats what she did. She didnt sleep around.
