I used to love the way she looked. She was stunning. Now after all these years of wear n tear she looks horrible. I mean even after discounting the age factor. And this is coming from one of her ardent fans.
Anyways, I wish her best luck and hope she would be happy finally.

Rediff should consider rewording that caption to read something other than 'Manisha Koirala is given away to Samrat Dahal by her parents'. A bride is not an object to be given away.
Manisha koirala has her own identity and has established herself with her talent and hard work. Gone are the days when a bride was being given away to be fed, clothed, boarded and taken care of by her husband and in-laws.

While that may be true for someone accomplished like Manisha, great hordes of women are "given" away in India, totally dependent on the husband and in-laws. Even in this day and age, that still rings true.
He is saying that she will continue her movie career even after her marriage. Her career stop before her marriage only. And i think while giving this statement he was more drunk as compared to Manisha.

Career? what career?? I don't think she can do item numbers or lead roles. But she can play one helluva mother though- MILF.
