In US, they have this foreign film festival and draw lot of crowd as there are really nice movies. In fact Hindi films are also released with sub titles. In India if they do that they can draw crowd who dont know that language. It would mean good business also. I would love to watch movie of any language if it is good.

mr. sanath, i had been to gurvayar and most of the shopkeepers who knew hindi,or english&someof them even knew kannada did not want to speak in these languages. you ppl make groups and dont entertain outsiders, thatswhy kerala is populated with mallus.
Most of them who comment here against kannada are junk people who have come from other places for living and they spit on the place from which they are getting life. Such thankless people. If they go back to their natives, they will live like beggers. Without knowing anything about kannada and karnataka, they simply show their frustration or ultra egoism, they simply say something which they themselves are not sure of. People like these are the one who create problems like Gujarat riots and all. I bet they are like terrorists. They disturb and irritate peace loving people like kannadigas and provoke them.

Few examples: Kasturi Nivasa Bangarada Manushya Bhakta Kumbara Nagara Havu Jeevana chaitra Akasmika Aptamitra(chandramukhi, bhool bhulaiaya copied this movie) Chigurida Kanasu Dweepa Mungaru male Galipata Manasa Sarovara Muttina hara... list continues. bhool bulaiya was not a copy of Aptamitra - Priyadarshan was part of the movie Manichitratazhu (Malayalam) which he remade in Hindi. Aptamitra and Chandramukhi are very poor copies of the Malayalam movie.

hi folks... If you seriously want evaluate kannada movies take a bunch of movies from Tamil, telagu and marati and what ever lang u choose and take some good movies from kannada and watch them... U will come to know what does std. means....
Std. does come from shouting, screaming and hitting a person and will land in plane and all...

Every language have few good films in an year.Not all movies are hit> Understand the reality. Kannada films do have good and bad movies as other langauages movies have. firstly see some good kannada movies like AAdinagalu,Mungarumale etc. and then comment about the industry. Just putting cheap messages speaks only about your stupidity and immaturity.

Good Movies and Bad Movies have come in all languages. But i would recommend you to watch Tammassu once... probably you can comment on it. IN this movie atleast there is no junk action as seen other south indian languages.

If you are talking about violence then every language films have them, if you are talking about skin show, Kannada movies have the least. Guys, at the same time, we should also learn to kick out all those junk people who are becoming Kannada movies producers and directors. These directors just are slum people who show only their experiences as great movies or some talentless bums who wants to be great directors. About producers, they just think it as an investment to get more money or to spend their black money. Real talented people should come and produce or direct movies. If they search for great stories, kannada is the best language which has awesome stories from awesome directors. Hey Nayana and all, remember Maniratnam's first movie was in Kannada. Swades was copied from Karnataka..and hundreds of examples we can give.
