By not going there you are not going to achieve anything for the Tamils who are suffering. He showed his concern for Tamils with this speech made not Tamil Nadu but in Colombo. Throwing stones like the rabble rouser Vaiko is not what the Tamils in Sri Lanka want. Vaiko is only after Tamil votes in Tamil Nadu.

Good one

Good to listen from some politician such a precise and healthy speech without any blame game and communal substance. Indian politics need such people.

By the way this speech was for bollywood. I totally agree that cinema is one of the finest brand embassidor for india abroad. Film maker should keep also keep this thing in mind while making films. May be we would be able to see some quality movies more frequently.

Excellent speech. Great choice of words. Beautiful flow. Apt. I hope he stays away from politics and focuses on writing and speaking. His book From Midnight to the Millennium is by all standards one of the best books written in English.

Movies can be a great storytelling medium and as fulfilling as reading a book, providing it's done well. Because it's very expensive to make a movie, it becomes imperative to reach out to as big an audience as possible and so the film makers tend to dumb down the content.
Only an increase in people demanding alternative, fresh stories will result in Bollywood or any movie industry to produce interesting movies.
