pathetic logic. According to Valmiki Ramayana (the orignal chronicle), Raavanaa was son of a Brahmin sage (Sages will be from all castes). Another illogic provided is about colour, if so Raamaa is dark while Raavanaa is white. Raavanaa is vedic scholor.
Coming to Maniratnam, he is a shrewd PR person cum director. In the name of characters of Raamaayana he based his plot more on helene of troy. The names from Raamaayanaa is supposed to give the negative publicity, expecting thugs like srirama sena et al to vandalise and hence popularise his insipid products.

she is a national award winner for paruthiveeran .. priyamani is an actress..dont compare her with pornstars like bipasha or lara who dosent know anything other than removing their dress and dancing in rain.
for not Introducing the character of Bhisma of Mahabharat in the story of Ramayan. And it will be played by Amitabh to make the whole Bachan family complete. I suppose this was the first time in Abhisekh and Ash's married life that they have been left to themselves by Amitabh. The shoot was like a Honeymoon period for the couple..
