I dnt knw what kind of humour is that? Shruti set nt even has screen space nor any role and not even performance. There are many who performed well like Arjun Rampal,Ranbeer kapoor, Manoj Bajpai and Naseeruddin Shah in a small role.
I do not understand the basis for saying that Shruti Seth is the only positive thing abt Rajneeti. I watched the movie and felt there are many positive things abt the movie. The Guy needs to do some serious editing and review before he posts articles.

I agree with Raja Sen. The script is horrible and the characters are all one-dimensional.
The character least believable is that of Ranbir Kapoor's - a caricature of Michael Corleone with no sufficient cause. The plot could have been so much more convincing, but alas, Jha is more content with bombastic dialogues and less meaningful screenplay.
The old Kalyug movie is much much better.
The ONLY actor who delivers in this movie is Manoj Bajpai.
Most irritating is Jha's 'interpretation' of the God Father & Mahabharata characters. I am severly disappointed.

I agree with you, Big let down by Jha Not worth watching in Theater wait for DVD strictly average film Almost 3 hour long dry flick neither romantic nor political completely derailed script Terrible insulting cocktail of God Father, Mahabharat plus Gandhi Family saga Ajay, Nana, Naseer and Manoj Bajpei did good job as usual but very typecast Rampal is overrated Ranbir kapoor too bad, please stick to your typical boyish image this is not your cup of tea Katrina not even worth commenting Shyam Benegal’s Kalyug (1981) was the good modern adaptation of Mahabharat starring Shashi Kapoor, Rekha, Anant Naag, Victor Banerjee, Supriya Pathak. Last hour of Jane Bhi Do Yaro and Marathi stage play “Yada Kadachit” are most hilarious modern satires of Mahabharat. As far as Political Dramas are concern Shashi Kapoor‘s New Delhi Times (1986) and Marathi movie Sinhasan (1980) by Jabbar were very good too; both the movies won National Film Awards

who is sruthi seth, what is her character name in the movie..Manoj Bajpai is best then comes Nana Patekar
If Bollywood wants an 'industry' status which includes getting loans from Banks (both of these were their earlier demands) & stuff like that, it has to show good Hit film results 1st like Aamir & his director/producer does. A lot of money is blown up in crores like bursting diwali crackers without any results. Flops after flops appear most of the time. I think as far as i know, then the only way they can raise money is through their own company stocks listing like Balaji Telefilms etc etc.

When will ultra-gorgsous Bipasha Basu churn out a hit movie. She has lotsa talent and kinda freaka looks that can make any damn hunk go weak in his legs. After that she can make the weakness disappear with her sensual looks and shimmering glances. Ah, what a feeling!!
I am just laughing, when I read the ve point for Raajneeti, it says "Shruti Seth".
Do u know what are you talking about? In this movie the greatest ve point is the director who excels the story very well. Then followed by powerful acting from Manoj Bajpai to Ajay, Ranbir, Arjun, Katrina.. but, i never ve had any objection Shruti, she did a very good job to her role. But can't be said, her role was the only ve point of the movie. You people are now most laughable objects in Rediff. And, Raja insane is leading the front. haha

I fully agree with you !!..We should give thumbs up to Raja sen for making us laugh :) :)
It is high time for all so called superstars, try to learn acting from masters like Manoj Bajpai, Ajay Devgan (though in this movie, he has got very limited space). But, it is sad a great actor like Manoj Bajpai has been less popular compare to any so called super stars SRK, Akki, Salman, or Hrithik. Sad, but true.

I think Manoj Bajpai is best actoe in this movie should win National Award.
