Raja Sen!!! Look at yourself
by Saptarshi Paul on Jun 08, 2010 10:23 AM  | Hide replies

My Dearest Raja Sen , look at yourself , a director who has directed Bangla kido stuff like
the below....
Damu (1996)
Atmiyo Swajan (1998)
Chakrabyuha (2000)
Desh (2002)
Debipaksha
Krishnakanter Will (2007)

should abstain from writing reviews about such politically correct commercial films.

This review of yours shows the following
1. You know nothing of scriptwriting (evident from your own latest ventures)

2. A person who choses actors like Jeet and Jisshu should not comment on the acting capabilities of even Arjun Rampal..leave aside Nasser, Nana , Ajay or Manoj

3. After watching the entire movie , you find Shruti Seth the best, shows your inclination towards the angle of movies you desire (Krishnakanto'r Will is one example)

4. Reviewers like you watch one or two Godfathers/Gone With the Winds and try to relate all Indian movies with them..

5. And looks like you also by hearted some of the hollywood actors names !!! Heath Ledger.. I bet you only know his last movie "The Dark Knight"

Mayb you should stick to writing reviews of
Partho Ghosh's "Ek Second- Jo zindagi badal de"
Prosenjit's Bangla "Hangover" or keep trying your luck at slapstick blouseless sari clad women oriented movies ..

I am sorry to say, over the years even Khalid Mohammed has also learnt that movie reviewing is not his cup of tea after he made debacles like Fiza Silsilay etc, but not

So Grow Up Raja Sen... realise that you are made to piss us off with your mindless Bangla movies and shoudl not venture out in commenting on a director like Prakash Jha.. and also try to learn some more Hollywood actors names and movies :p

Mayb you are suffering from a green eyed jealousy of the number of stars roped up by Jha while your movies only get cheap rated actors... and if you think writing reviews will provide you money to make such a multistarrer then you should in turn take the mango drink (which Katrina endorses) , suck it hard and realise and you dont have it in u... awwwww sho shorry... try and make Damu-2 .... you can make elephants act :p

Not good
by Good food on Jun 07, 2010 10:41 PM  | Hide replies

I agree with Raja Sen. The script is horrible and the characters are all one-dimensional.

The character least believable is that of Ranbir Kapoor's - a caricature of Michael Corleone with no sufficient cause. The plot could have been so much more convincing, but alas, Jha is more content with bombastic dialogues and less meaningful screenplay.

The old Kalyug movie is much much better.

The ONLY actor who delivers in this movie is Manoj Bajpai.

Most irritating is Jha's 'interpretation' of the God Father & Mahabharata characters. I am severly disappointed.

did u say Ranbir kapoor has not " sufficient cause" to do a mikey corleone !!!

father shot dead ( mind you! on the way back after personally seeing him off the airport), brother was dragged and put behind the bars..family was in the verge of collapse..might be all these reasons were not sufficient for a "son or a brother or a man" to rise up the occasion!! i am sure what you wanted to see in the cinema is a " rape scene" which of course Mr. jha didn't showed in this movie

Did you see the scene, where he lures out Manoj & Ajay at the end and shoots them. What frickin' logic is there in doing that. Their party was winning anyway. At the least he could have hired his goons to do it. In any case, my point is the screenplay. There is no time to show the cause & the effect logically because - 1. there are too many big time characters & time is eaten up letting them deliver dialogues 2. Uncalled for violence by both sides shown amateurishly that takes all the time and w/o reason.

Look at a potentially powerful scene of Kunit pleading with Karna - it had no effect - and in the context of everything else going on, that scene seemed trivial...so on & so forth...I think this has too much packaging that could not fit in properly in the 3 hours. He could have let go of some of it.

Why on earth a US girl friend and eating up at least 30 minutes of the time.

The only redeeming feature of the movie is the screen presence of the stars - they all looked good. That's it.

by Thetime isnow on Jun 07, 2010 07:34 PM

It's not raja sen's fault. When god was creating his brain, He forgot to put something inside it. Later on he could cover it only with some 'gobar'. So his brain, from outside is Gobar, from inside, nothing.
Guys please forgive him. It's not his fault.

High time for all so called superstars
by surya das on Jun 07, 2010 06:44 PM  | Hide replies

It is high time for all so called superstars, try to learn acting from masters like Manoj Bajpai, Ajay Devgan (though in this movie, he has got very limited space). But, it is sad a great actor like Manoj Bajpai has been less popular compare to any so called super stars SRK, Akki, Salman, Amir or Hrithik. Sad, but true.

It's like Lady Diana was more popular then Mother Terresa. Can someone give me a good reason? The world is full of mediocrity and you can't reason with it.

may be that Raja Sen is a hyped character by rediff. Or if he exists, he must be watching movies in theatres which are dirty, where people cause him discomfort and he takes it all on the movie.

Please pay Raja Sen well so that he can watch movies in decent theatres and can give the movie its worth......

First of all, these family feud was in rural area and all the tussle was for one upmanship in state politics.. not a national scenario.

Can you explain me actors changing locations and clothes 10 times in a 5 minute song of your favourite movie?

Everybody has got brain, understand that.. its only that some use it to get the positives out of situation and some only to pick up all the negatives. You are one of them.
