Once upon a time, rediff used 2 give us decent movie reviews with a critics point of view rather than the one written for this movie which appears to be written by D'Ib himself or Ekta Kapoor. I saw the movie after reading the reviews and came back disappointed. Its a decent gangster movie but hardly nothing new. AND DEFINITELY NOT A CLASSIC THAT IT IS MADE OUT TO BE. COMPANY was a classic, OUATIM is a decent replica.

dont compare this 1 with "company" both the movies are of diffrent genres.."company" was a classic as well as "ouatim" is also a classic..

I completely agree with Munish, the review standards are definitely falling....disappointing experience!
If Sanjay Dutt Play ajay devgan role in this role . Then sure shot this film is more and more successful. Sanjay Dutt Personality Suit this kind of roles . Ajay devgan face lool like a poor rickshaw wala .

I'm not agree with u on this, Ajay is the most suitable actor for this kind of role & even he did well in past & got appreciation from the public in the form of HIT picture.

I understand everyone can have a opinion. Some people may like a movie, others may hate the same movie. I could have just read this review and closed the browser, by thinking, 'oh! It's just one man's opinion'. But then, I saw the write being compared with Salim-Javed. Excuse me Sir! have you ever seen any movie written by Salim-Javed? One thing I am sure that you have not seen Sholay, Deewar, Zajeer or Trishul. Otherwise, you would not have dared to compare some average (if not bad) script to these legendary scripts. Please go and watch these classic movies and then think about any comparison.

This movie does not even deserve half star!!!seems like the script writer kept of book of best proverbs next to him while writing!!the gansters were talking like saints!!!it was like watching a 3 hour soap in theatre!!someone who had read even the wikipedia article of Haji mastan could have made better movies!!!people who have written good abt this movie below - please watch REAL gangster movies like Sathya, Company or even RGVs D was a better movie than this!! Watch untouchables, godfathers, road to perdition etc and then comment on this piece of crap!!!!

Someone may hsve his own opinion.But before writining this type of comment U should watch Company where A.D had done another great job.And people saying that he had done better than the previous.
Guys now I believe you that rediff reviewers are paid by producers to write reviews - otherwise NOONE would have given 4 stars for this non-movie. It is just a documentary with no production-design detail to costumes - NOTHING. TOTAL WASTE OF TICKET MONEY.
Worst Movie of the Year. i saw this on sunday and for all the 2 & 1/2 hours i was yawning. i had to take head ache tablet after watching this movie. sure this is a paid review. this does not deserve any star.

I am in the software profession like you, and till date no one has questioned my sanity or film understanding sense.
I guess you are of one dimention, so cannot look at things froma different perspective and different shade.
