The film rather tries to simplify/generalise the 70s era...definitely not a very powerful rewind to the era. I would say it has failed to live uo to the hype...too many one-liners in the film...flattened the impact. The good background music playing all the time irrespective of the situation in the film also somehow lessened the desired effect.

if this reviewer has not been paid, then either he is an oaf without any knowledge of movies or he is Ekta kapoor disguised as the reviewer.
And I am saying this not because this movie is bad (though one has to watch it to believe how atrocious it is!!), but because this guy couldnot find one single lose point in this GODAWFUL movie. he picked one negative about the heroines being reduced to inconsequential roles and tried to tone it down by saying its a gangster flick.
Raja sen is a hated columnist but I always enjoy his reviews and he has a good grasp of movies. His reviews could sumtimes not conform to the box-office or general public perception but that could be attributed to personal choices as well. Barring 3 Idiots, he has invariably been right in his reviews. This was a stupid review without any description of the different aspects of the movie. It seems more like an advertisement of 'Once Upon a Time In Mumbai".

oh ur one of those who make inane, unrelated, trying-too-hard-to-be-funny comments when they dont understand wat they just read, to hide their inferiority complex and to raise a few smirks from the readers to compensate for the lack of generosity God showed while filling up the grey material in their heads. I am sure u have a library of Bhojpuri movies to supply some more names in response to this message as well. all the best mate

Raja sen was spot on with 3 Idiots. The movie had good funny moments & high drama .. good twist .etc etc .. it is more like clips of 'amirs' .. lessons in different situations .. i would have liked to see some new faces do it .. Again .. attribute it to personal choice

Once upon a time, Rediff did not have the comments feature where jealous/frustrated/irritated souls did not come in and pour their frustration at good reviews or bad reviews. Not anymore..... If Rediff posts a good review, the film will be ridiculed, if Rediff posts a bad review, the film will be sympathised with.
