Indian tv sucks. There is no creativity or fun programmes on tv. IPL was the only good thing ever on Indian tv and hence people really liked watching it. I watch tv only for news and sports. Everything else is crap.
This is a rare good show in Indian television, which is dominated by all those mega soaps which either focus on mother-daughter in law rivalry or one woman trying to bring down another woman.
I want to see TV shows in India that follow th e US pattern of having various seasons (e.g. Kiefer's "24" had Seaons 1-8). After every season, have a good gap and then come up with a new season.
The Television in US have so much variety of shows. Indian TV is swamped just with saas-bahu shows and reality dance/singing shows. Its come down to a point that I don't even like to look at the TV. Even if a new show starts which starts as a different story .. it still after a year turns back into saas-bahu-family saga. I miss all those Byomkesh bakshi, tenali rama, Swabhiman .. shows which were awesome and didnt stretch beyond its limit.
C.I.D is not the longest running series in Indian Television, Well b4 that Asianet A Malayalam Channel had started and their shows "Cinemala", "Kannadi","Nammal Thammil" are still running and are well passed CID record.....
