Please let me know who is Venkatesh and who is Upendra. I came to know in kannada film industry produced many talented people like Rajkumar, Maniratnam, A.R.Rahman, Aiswarya Rai, singer Vijay, sound engineer Resul Pookutty and many. Really great.....

Kannada film industry didnt produce any of them except Rajkumar.. well mani ratnam did his first film there but thats about it. and that vijay who is one of the four singers credited for jai ho has sung exactly two songs in kannada, he made it big singing in tamil.. ARR has done exactly one kannada remake of a tamil film, Aishwarya Rai hasnt acted in any kannada film. neither has resul pookutty worked in the kannada industry, mostly hindi,tamil and english movies.. everyone except Rajkumar sir came from tamil industry... just pointing out.

Rockline Venkatesh is the roll call guy for cinestars-media in Karnataka. Upendra even he doesnt know who he is today after his unexpected successes in 1990s films
I think to smoothen out the perceptions (if we are only talking of facts there wouldnt be any debate!) one option is to redefine the jargon.
We have this mindset of hero/heroine/villain/comedian rather than the simplistic view of actor/actress in a lead role, support role.
So to test my theory, would all concerned try to reframe the folks concerned in the various movies in all our languages and see if it helps? eg: Jitendra in lead role in so-and-so, Amjad Khan in lead role in Sholay etc. (villain named Gabbar Singh is the character he played but in this case its a prominent / lead role along with the characters of Viru/Jai...)
This way we would only 'see' them as actors / actresses rather than heroes, heroines, villains, stars, galaxies, Gods, CMs, PMs.... ohh this list is endless isnt it?

They are donating the cauvery water to you guys and hence sacrificing their daily bath..If they stop donating the cauvery water, you guys will not have water even to wash - you know what!! So, don't come here and advice them to take a bath daily..

i thought they were tamil producers or directors ,we alos have have mass stars in tamilnadu who resemble this ..
sorry to maja,seen shubu ,,,and indian... and one mor think guys take all the lightly ,it could be some one just to provoke ....
Guys, Some of the south actors dont look that great but they act well and are apealing to mass audience. Look at Rajanikanth in Tamil, Mohan lal in malayalam, Junior NTR inn telugu and the abouve upendra in kannada. Infact Upendra looks much better than rajni and others. Thats why deepika padukone was dying to act with him in her first movie in kannada. Check kannada movie Aishwarya songs on youtube. He looks very good.
