Sweet is sweet nothing like ols and new
by SANTHOSH O on Jul 20, 2010 02:32 PM

There is nothing like old and new as far as melody is concern. Because there is commmon "LD" we need not say OLD is GOLD. Actually it is melody and sweetness in the songs made by earlier people by heavy dedication and efforts. Even now if present generation recognise it and dedicate time and efforts they can also do well. But they want everything Fast and therefore they have to compromise quality.

Sweet remains sweet whether it was in old days or present days likewise music can be cool if follow the classic and do with talent. The present generation does not want that they should be called similar to old people so they try to do something new without applying mind and loose the quality. If musician understand melody without classifying old and New can make good output.....

NOTHING WRONG

Nothing wrong with repeating old classics - after all OLD IS GOLD and new MDs are incapable of making such evergreen tunes. As long as the classics are not made into unrecognisable remixes that offend the listeners. Classics should be treated with respect while recreating.

Nothing wrong in repeating old classics, but why take others credit as their own under new wrap? Whenever a pearson hears remix or new version of an old hit song, he certainly remembers the original version. So there is nothing great but only a game to earn easy money, just by making little changes in original ones.

Retro classic...
by gittanjali on Jul 20, 2010 12:34 PM

Old melodies....when did they ever go out!!

If they have come back, its because people specially the young gen, have realized its worth after listening to contemporary thrash.

Why, even commercial advertisement resort to retro songs for its universal appeal.

Old is gold..anyday!!

This was originally in Yahudi, picturised on Dileep Kumar.
They missed out on this one. Brilliantly sung by the female playback singer in the movie Namesake.

New music directors ae trying to sell what is soothing to ears at the expence of creativity... nobody is rating RD over others, may be RD's tracks are more popular than otheres, so it is more easy for someone to remix and lauch it, atleast something will sell.
