Remembering Manohari singh
by amrapali roy on Jul 18, 2010 03:03 PM

With the demise of the great Manohari singh the whole gamut of Panchamda's team comes to close for ever. A front runner in pancham's team alongwith his partner Basudev Chakraborty, Sapan Chakraborty and Maruti Rao, Manohari was the great player in SD Burman's team later joined with pancham as arranger from Bhoot Bangla and remained till the end. He will always be remembered for hismesmerising orchestration. Abhijit Roy

1. In the Asha Bhosle song in Kasme Vaade (Gum Sum Kyon), the song started with Ashaji's voice, and then it was blended with Singh's sax rendition, the blending was precision-perfect.
2. The music of Nargis was solely handled by Basudeb Chakraborty.

Guys,
You gotta listen to the composition he is talking about Gum sum hai kyon (kasme vade)to really understand.
Search it on Y.o.utube, you won't know where Ashaji leaves off and where Manohariji's Saxophone takes over.
God Bless his Manohari'ji soul.
