No one from Kashmiri prefers to say as Indian. May be this director has the reasons for his movie requirements. It is not that difficult to preach in movies. Did the director's son prefers to safeguard Indian borders in Kashmir Vally under this hostile condition ?
I think that the Kashmir issue will go straight to the back burner if Indian muslims living in other parts of the country also speak up and tell the Kashmiri's that they are living in a non separatable part of India. The people may be Muslims and may want to live in a muslim country like Pakistan in which case they should be allowed to cross the LOC and live in Pakistan. The real truth is that the Indian muslim has also always hoped for an Indian defeat in Kashmir even if they cannot go to Pakistan themselves. I suppose that is inevitable but India cannot agree to a redrawing of our borders on the basis of religion. I think the fact that our External Affairs minister stuck to the issue of terrorism is good. As long as Pakistan sticks only to Kashmir India should stick to anti terrorism. Only when the Pakistanis understand that we are dead serious about that issue will they pull back the support to separatists in Kashmir. Our think tanks must figure out a way to hurt Pakistan without going to war in the same way that they fuel trouble in Kashmir. We can do all the talking but we should keep our powder dry.

People can be Muslim and still want to live in a secular country like India.. And real truth of Indian muslims wanting a Indian defeat?? Do we really know that?? Isn't it a harsh and big assumed blame on them?? Instead of askin them not to hate, y dont we think for ourselves and reduce our segregating and blamin tendencies?? Why to give them more reasons??
both the songs and movie are great. Lamhaa will remain as one of my most favourite film. I am disappointed that most of the songs are not screened completely in the movie.
