to the entire team.. fantastic movie.. the pleasant look of old Madras and the performances are the key.. probably GVP's best after Ayirathil Oruvan.. the old british lady steals the show with apt underplay and wonderful expressions..

a disappointment for those who know history
by satya s on Jul 18, 2010 11:19 PM

its not exactly for intellectuals and history guys.

they will know well that the story is highly implausible and whatever little history provided laughable.

the script writer clearly was no history guy.when they are making films like this, can't they consult just one well read person
as they did on trams, buckingham canal etc?

the story may well work with the masses. but its a huge rip off from titanic that this deserves to be called another copy cat work.

Like Amir Khan

Arya is Looking like Amir khan in Lagaan. Same kind of body language, make up and costumes. Atleast Arya could had made some other effort to differentiate him with amirkhan....Concept of the movie is from also Lagaan. In Lagaan a british woman fell in love with amirkhan. That part is developed in this film....Nothing is different..... not like Priyadarshan's 'SIRAICHAALAI'........

i beg to differ with you. In case if you hadn't known, there came a movie called "nadodi thendral" where a british lady falls in love with an indian lad.

5.2 feet hero romancing 5.11 feet heroine. one thing agreed, the movie singam is running successfully, but it is not a classy moive like madarasapatinam. so plz go away and do not confuse people here. do not compare masala movie with classy movie. singam might have made more money..but dont call that as the movie of the year. TN has better taste...angadi theru and madarasapatinam are the two classic movies of 2010.
