In Hindi, The Male lead is always the Hero of the movie. So the Hero should be good looking. But in Tamil, nowadays, the "Story" is the hero, except Super star
Bollywood does not have any story.all movies are copied from kannada,telugu,tamil & malayalam.Bollywood is full of fools like aamirkhan,sharukh kahn,amithabh bhacchan,saif khan.they can only take movies of gay,triangle story ect.

Before I start my blog may i ask you to go and google for "arya tamil" to know how this guy really looks. I pity north indians ( aka b..i..m..a..r..u..s) the most. they have one film industry for 500 million ppl and not even 5% of this population watches their movies ( that too begging for talent from chennai). Even if the hero acts as a dhobi ( which is an impossibility in north as north does not have any labour class :), erveryone there is as rich as western nations ) he will dancing in a disc and all these phools will go and trip on it. So first of all de b..i..m..a..r..u urself ans ur region before u talk.

Rohit generally in tamil films, they choose heros based on the movie subject.If the story subject need a hero to be imported as u said. definitely tamil directors will import.

if there is any movie story before 1947, is that all remake of Lagaan? this movie about a love between a british girl and Indian guy. The guy is a wresler and the story spans till 2000.

Costumes are straight lift from Lagaan.. The costumes does even come close to the costumes worn by people of chennai or even in South India

lagaan will be a biggest flop is A.R.rehman had not directed the music.and aamir khan would have flopped.becoz of tamilian A.r .Rehman lagaan clicked
