Suparn...it is amazing how some people leave an everlasting impression on you even though you may have not spent too much time with them. Your post is very well written and very moving. It is sad to lose somone who is talented as well a great human being. Through your words I feel I know Sourabh...thanks. I wish God gives his family the strength required in such times.
I like most of the readers of this column did not know who was Saurabh until now. I have heard the movie 'Vastu Shastra' and I know it was produced by Ram Gopal Varma, but that's all I knew.
Now I know Saurabh. Now I know about his family and friends. And what a way to know. The article brought tears into my eyes.
The article not only speaks about Saurabh, but clearly brings out the importance of maintaining relationships in our lives which often tend to give a damn because of our busy schedules.
I also appreciate Suparn to subtly bring out the pun on the people missing at the prayer meeting.
Thanks Suparn for writing and thanks Rediff for bringing this to us.
May Saurabh's soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his parents, wife and kid. May God bless them with all the courage to come out of this bereavement.
