by dblpw on Jul 06, 2010 11:17 PM

Don't worry Mr. Shyamalan. You are the Anurag Kashyap of Hollywood. Most people are too dumb to get you.

An apt comment on your level of intelligence.. or perhaps the lack of it.

Did you catch the subtleties in the movie? Did the music strike you at a deep level? Did the twist amaze you and did you catch the summary/moral of the movie? Obviously not. So it doesn't suit you to talk of intelligence.

SLOW

Most of his scripts are slow and boring. Who will keep on waiting for that one little surprise in his films?

Critics == losers
by Foo Bar on Jul 04, 2010 10:24 PM  | Hide replies

Critics are akin to H.R. or recruiters : they are loosely associated with the profession, and think that they are Gods, but are actually losers who failed to succeed at doing anything critical, anything that takes genuine effort and creativity, in life. Yes, Raja Sen, you.

I've noticed that in general, middlemen == parasites. I mean, who needs an effing critic when you have friends whose opinion you trust?? Who needs effing recruiters when you have good credentials in your industry?

Not for everyone

I'm sure Mr.Shyamalan's movies have a cult following ... but wouldn't expect Joe Sixpack to get very excited about them. My favorite (after Sixth Sense) remains Unbreakable. The premise and Samuel L Jackson's character were simply astounding. Village was also gripping. Hope Mr. Shyamalan doesn't let the negative reviews dampen his spirit ... there are people out here who crave for his movies ... box office be damned

6th Sense has to one of the greatest movies of all times..Unbreakable is good too..but others are too predectible and sometimes boring. Shyamalan needs to learn to make his movies interesting- he is too talented not to be successful

i thought sixth sense was awesome, signs is one of the best alien movies i have ever seen, the village was really good as well. I have also heard a lot of really good reviews for the movie unbreakable.One advise to MNS is to stop acting in all his movies. that role he did in signs was awful.
