This is the title for Mohanlal ... Intense, passionate and expression par excellence! Even Kamalhassan called him "Maha-perum nadigar"

..mohanlal has to select roles suit for his age and physique. if he does role of a retired military man aged 50, then its' ok..but what's this?? it's kind of insult to those commandos with fit body.. Even awarding the position of Lt.cnl to him, was also a big nonsense..Pls think how our Javans earn that title..An ordinary Javan has to bare what all sufferings while this celebrity could achieve by just acting in film.. it happened only becuase of Shri.A K Antony, MoU Defence... No one can deny that..I can agree that he could spread the glory of military service through the movies.. But awarding such a big title is not justice to those patriots who died/injured in battles. .. .I repect both Mohanlal and Antony, am also a person from Kerala. And happy those brilliant professionals are from Kerala.. but more than that I AM AN INDIAN and I respect our Military patriots than both of those celebrities or politicians.. Only stupids like somebody below can think, those who argue against Mohanlal's award - is a Mammootty fan!!!! Dear Fools, I am not even mammooty's fan.. Eariler I've mentioned that mohanlal has more acting skill than Mammootty.. I like both, Mohanlal is flexible where as Mammootty can enlight certain typical roles than anyone - that's the difference btw them.. My favorites are Jagathy, Thilakan and Nedumudy Venu.. But AM FAN of NONE OF THE FILM ACTORS.. They are human beings like us, doing their profe

continued..

.. My favorites are Jagathy, Thilakan and Nedumudy Venu.. But AM FAN of NONE OF THE FILM ACTORS.. They are human beings like us, doing their profession for money and wealth, that's it.. Only illiterates will die for them.. I worships personalities like A P J KALAM, BABA AMTHE, MOTHER TERESA, KIRAN BEDI etc. . what i meant above is honouring Lt.Cnl title to an actor for acting 2 military movies, is SHAMEFUL for the militant legacy of a country like INDIA..[Thank God, our govt.s didn't award any IPS RANK to Mammootty/Sureshgopi or M.L.A-minister Title to Kollam Thulasi/Saikumar/Vijayraghavan!!]...I don't hope any silly superstar-fan can got this message. . Because , it needes an optimum understanding of our socio-political & economic scenario rather than passions on silly masala movies!!!!

"Strong tea" needs a strong tea inorder to wake up.
Mohanlal was given lt.colonel as a honorary title,Army has such options of giving honorary awards inorder to attract more people to join the army. You won't be liking lalletan but there are lot of people who like him. And one more thing giving an honorary award has nothing to do with the physique of a person,it will only depend on whether he is able to spread the emotion of patriotism through his work, and mind you "keertichakra"was a superb film and lalletan was fantastic in it. The intensity with which he delivered dialogues in that film really showed how patriotic he is. And you strong tea/cold coffee what ever it is,need to know, that you are not the only person who have a so called "optimum understanding of our socio-political and economic scenario!!!!!!!!". There are others who have a better understanding of these things, and because of that lalletan was given that title. Nobody knew there exsisted a title(Honorary Lt. Colonel) like this, suddenly when lalletan got it,it became popular, and people have started talking about it.

don't underestimate Lalettan for his body type.. He is a great with his flexibility and a rare kind to see even in Indian Cinema..Keerthichakra and Kurukshekthra were good attempts but too dramatic.. The problem is, our movie industry is making senti-masala movies always.. And movies like keerthi. are very few.. so our exitement treats it ultimate superb since we got them once in a blue moon.. that's the fact.. But somewhere I also feel, is Lal deserving that titel?? has he done genuine use of that?? and how many of his fans joined military inpired by that achievment??

frog, come out of ur ugly well!!! think matured!!! and one thing, I didn't mention that I didn't like Lal, Mamootty or any such celeb.sharks.. I respect them for what they are in the way..Silly people will be able to know about such things when cunning celeb.s come to experience such things.. But use those for their publicity n promotions (like Malabar Gold promos) can be justified? what s the social value or civilian aspect in that??? Illiterate fans like u made our poor govts/authorities to put things to such an extent, that this kind of awardings may atleast create some concerns.. But panic(immautured) 'Lalettan fans'got just exited, nothing more than that..Some persons need movies like to wake-up their mind, where as some can with mere surroundings...that's de difference between me and u..take in the right sense..ok..

Mr somebody... For yo kind info, mohanlal is the Lt for the territorial army.It is an organization of volunteers who receive military training for a few days in a year so that in case of an emergency they can be mobilized for the defence of the country.

It is a second line of defense after the Regular Indian Army; the Indian Territorial Army is not a profession, occupation or a source of employment. It is only meant for those people who are already in mainstay civilian professions, in fact, gainful employment or self-employment in a civil profession is a pre-requisite for joining the Territorial Army.
So mr mohanlal is rightly conferred the title. And atleast give him a chanc to serve the nation in real rather than in movies where everything is jus lik a dream.Be proud of it pal.And try to appreciate his thirst to serve the country rather than simply criticising him.

Mohan Lal is much more flexible than Mammootty both in acting and movements eventhough the latter maintains a far better body. Don't underestimate Lal looking at his body. Can anyone guess how Samo Hung used to do those action roles with that big fat body? Mohan Lal is so agile and smart ...you can understand it watching his action sequences in many movies. Mammootty is totally un-rhythmic and has a lot of limitations eventhough he is the most handsome oldman around.
