Bala's fil stood out because of Ilayaraja
by Siva Kumar on Jan 28, 2010 02:17 PM

Not to belittle Bala and his storyline in Naan Kadavul, but IMO, Ilayaraja was the key behind the film's heavy impact.

gud that adoor has shown the exit this time....and make young directors feel that malayalam films more subject oriented than following masala trend of tamil or teleugu..

Infact the end of yr 2009 and 2010 starting is seeing gud malayalm films coming up..

NAN KADAVUL WAS MASSIVE IMPACT...kudos to bala

though I am a non-tamilian and not well versed with the language but I was bowled over by Sethu and then by Nandha.
Such is his power , I watched Pithamagan 3 times, being the second film that I repeated. First being Sholay.
Outstanding director. That's how movies should be made.

undoubtedly best directoral film i hav ever seen. but frankly pooja who played the blind character in this film deserved best actress award more than priyanka who had nothg to show in acting skills in Fashion. Pooja along with Aryan really deserved the awards for best acting as well as all the co stars(beggars) in the films also deserved the award. maybe more than an oscar.

rightly said Praveen.. the amount of hardships she went through would have been tremendous considering the tough task master that Bala is..very unfortunate..
