Dear Shobha.Though its original story is from Malayalam,The original inspiration for launching Chandramukhi from Rajnikanth was kannada movie "APTAMITRA" which Rajani himself announced many times in Bangalore.

yes indeed... chandramukhi is byte-to-byte copy of Kannada movie Apthamitra. and the fact is Kannada movie is inspired from Malayalam movie not exact copy ... anyone who watched all the three versions would agree...

Sivaji Productions!!

They are still stuck in that old school thought of film making where the Superstars are the most important. There was this director Vikraman, who made his style of films even in this decade where the new wave of film making was alive and kicking. Now the guy IS OUT OF THE INDUSTRY and nowhere to be seen. Same way, SIVAJI PRODUCTIONS will also be a goner in a very short time. They might do that odd film or two with Rajnikanth or Kamalhaasan to keep themselves floating, but they wont be the same production house that was respected before because they do not seem to be interested in changing according to the change in times. See the arrogance with which this guy RAMKUMAR answers the questions. Does his brother Prabu share the same emotions? I hope not, coz Prabu seems a different guy. Ramkumar will soon drown Sivaji Productions with his line of thinking.

True he seems old fashioned choosing the star before the story or the director. He starts with a compromise, if the film succeeds its due to luck
