Why is everybody so against Raja Sen. He is a reviewer who writes very good reviews and occasionally goes wrong about the ratings, but so what? He is still good at reviewing movies. Taking the example of '3 Idiots', he never said it's a bad movie. He just said it didn't meet his expectations. Besides the points he had raised in the movie were actually quite true - -Aamir can do a cakewalk thru' young/college students role (Jo Jeeta. Andaz Apna Apna, Dil Chahta Hai are great examples). -Hirani has repeated many concepts from his earlier movies in this movie. Ex - Ragging scene, Reviving a comma patient, Faher and failed student confrontations etc etc. Seems like Raja in the role of an audience expected something more novel from Hirani (which Hirani is very capable of) and erred in rating the movie. That doesn't mean Raja's reviews are bad.
If someone reads Raja's reviews they can get a very good idea about the movie, just ignore the rating. Even for this review it very well gives an idea about what kind movie it is. So just read the review and you can decide whether you should watch the movie or not.
Funny thing is Raja's negative review on 3 Idiots has more comments (2300 comments) than rediff's other positive review (145).

i completely agree with oyu. But he uses to ornate a language and to undertsand his review to have to sit with a dictionary

Dude, i feel u ve neva eva read raja sen's reviews b4, and so 4 ur kind in fo i mus tel u dat he gav 3 stars 2 a movie called tashan and yes i agree 3 idiots is nt a grt movie bt its nt dta bad also 2 deserve 2 stars, get a reality chek dude, v all know raja sen is a joke in d name of a critic

Dude, you can't even write proper english so there is no doubt you cannot understand Raja's english. And I never said 3 Idiots is not a great movie. I enjoyed every bit of the movie and have seen it more than once in the theatre. My point was just that Raja may have had a little different expectations from 3 Idiots and expressed his point of view in his review. The reviews are just to get an idea about how a movie will or may be. You are supposed to read reviews and make up your own mind on whether you want to see a movie or not. Regarding how good Raja is. Just watch how many articles he writes on Rediff. He is still writing and you are still reading them and writing comments on him.
Everytime I write in Hindi my message is deleted. If the moderator doesn't know the language why do they put stuff pertaining to people speaking the language here?
And movie name is really pathetic.. and promotion didnt create any curiosity about the movie.. "Struggle of new comer".. Sick of formula movies.. give us a break.. I like both of them.. but doubt about watching the movie
And one more thing about movie i noticed is title is bad and also i dont know why in every interview the folks used "Stuggle of a new comer" so frequently.. i felt like puking on those words..

I have not seen chance pe dance yet but I will watch it cause I dont believe in a word Raja sen writes!!! He dismissed 3 Idiots as a below average movie, and I had made up my mind not watch it but I did anyway and everybodu knows its a great movie. Who cares id amir is 45 and playing a college kid, bottom line one of the best movie, 3 idiots, I dont understand what is the point of having comments section for rediff useers if rediff does not care about them. If one scrolls down and reads all the comments nobody likes this dude Raja Sen. I dont know why Rediff allows him to write reviews!!!!! If any one from rediff is reading this message then please transfer this dude Raja Sen to some other department!!!!!!!!!!

There is NOTHING mention-worthy about 3 idiots. For eg. if Akshay Kumar had done the role of Rancho, three idiots would not have been a big hit. It is like lifting some jokes from forwards , taking some characters from Chetan Bhagat's book and making a preachy movie which people are going gaga about.

Sudeep, if its so simple why don't you put your money where your mouth is and produce a film that is loved by everyone and can make over 300 croroes.
