Its a really good movie. In your day to day life you require a small brake and this is the one to ease out. Baring Gajani, most of amir khan movie are entertainer. Wish him all the best and produce lot more such movie.
Madhavan is a flop actor in Tamil, he has only 2 to 3 hits to his name, so he is acting in ads only and now since he has acted in a hit hindi movie, he will have chance there in Hindi, that too not for long time. He is a poor actor and only crazy girls like him.

This is possible only if the parents are rich or countries like USA where the salary gap is very less between the professions. In india, the salary gap among different professions is very high and cost of living is also very high. Definintely it will change. But it will take atleast 20 to 25 yrs..
Re: 3 Idiots

3 idiots is a total Chaatu movie. The point about choosing career of choice has been repeatedly done in many movies- sometimes in a humorous way as in Jane Bhi do yaron- or in a semi-serious way as in Yuva. But no where has one had to sit through crude jokes, dramatic masala like the delivery scene, revival of baby or the near-fatal injured 'idiot' by 'magic' words....good marketing though. The movie has lost nearly all the finer points in Chetan Bhagat's novel.
Re: Re: 3 Idiots
by SKandivaliE on Jan 12, 2010 09:18 PM
Yes. All the non-novel parts of the movie are cheap. Even the jokes were very old and copied from english commercials.
Virender Sehwag has made two triple hundreds till now while Sachin has made none...does it mean Sehwag is greater than Sachin? How many cricket experts would say that? Same is the case with 3i...it can make highest money among Indian movies...but Aamir cannot be Shahrukh who has been giving blockbuster after blockbuster since 16 years...i would rate Sachin's desert strom against Australia any day higher than a Sehwag triple hundred against Pakistan..same way DDLJ was a trendsetter...no way can 3 idiots ever be compared to DDLJ or Sholay for that matter.

by hibisscus b on Jan 12, 2010 11:04 AM
what did you get to learn from DDLJ and Sholay...DDLJ was a love story packaged in a trendy way...and Sholay...I dont know wat to say...we Indians have problem moving on sometimes.....

DDLJ was a classic it made SRK from normal boy to the greatest h_o_m_o in the bollywood industry...u guys are insane ..what classicness is there in DDLJ...stupid love story with that s_u_c_k_e_r leading it..

Aamir from macho look in Ghajini to school boy body frame, it takes lot of dedication, thats is commendable. And giving more space for either kid or other actor in the movie is also tell about how actor is confident about himself. Then the comparison goes between the Khans, I dont really think thats is required, as nobody provide as free tickets. We have to pay for tickets, and we will see whichever provide as best entertainments. Choice is good......

Looks like only you found Aamir's looks to fit like a college kid! Compare Anil Kapoor's two looks in Lamhe, that was more convincing than so called Aamir and Maddy's college-looks.

Why do you compare that ageing actor Sukh Rukh Khan with his balding top and hanging jowls to Aamir. Aamir is a class by himself but Suk Rukh has a few standard expressions beyond which he is totally at lost. Forget the jealous Khan his days are over it is retirement time now for him.

first of all who is comparing the two? and why are you hating amir khan, the actor is one of the countries best, he even brought bollywood to the oscars, the man should be applauded but like all indians you critisize
Re: Re: Virender Sehwag vs Sachin Tendulkar
by BGK on Jan 12, 2010 05:11 AM
Definition of a fine actor is one who gets into the skin of the character- like Kamal Haasan- you don't see the actor but only the character he plays. Definition of star is one who can rise above script and make even an ordinary story interesting and sell it- e.g. SRK and Amitabh in his haydays. Aamir is neither - but true to his filmi-background knows how to market himself and the film. No wonder after a few months of the movies everybody forgets about his movies.

You check up yourself once, even today QSQT and JJWS and some other movies are watched as classics, if you dont belive me ask people who watched those movies

agreed, but Sharukh movies are really sucking now a days (From last 10 years). But Aamir is on the rise from last 10 years. What do you say .......................

thats your opinion...for me he is the biggest entertainer of indian film industry.

Analogy is good, but u are taking it to another level man.
This analogy does not hold good at all.
1)Aamir is in the industry longer than SRK, SEhwag came much after Sachin
2) Whatever Aamir does SRk apes. Be it singing for his own films, or social networking, etc Even Raj and Rahul the 2 most celebrated SRk character names were first used by Aamir in QSQT and HUm Hain Raahi Pyaar Ke
3) Till Ghajini and 3 Idiots it is you SRk fans who would say that SRk rules BO etc, and Bo is what decides a bigger star, since these 2 filsm have come out, you have een going back to his most popular film to prove a point and retact your own statements.
4) Aamir has got Padma Shree before SRK
5) Aamir film has been to the Oscars whereas that will always be adream for SRK
6) Aamir has already proved his mettle as a producer and director, SRk is biting his nails to just take care of production
7) Aamir takes on social responsibilities and social issues whereas SRk is only engrossed in ME MYSELF and MYSELF again....
Do I need to say more., cos I can go on and on and on.....
It got award for the best film...what abt the actors? Shows that this movie has won best film award because it made lot of money. Anyway, how can 3 idiots who were doing comedy all the time be awarded for acting? Moot point.
Re: Why no actor from 3 idiots got award?
by Deekshitha R on Jan 12, 2010 02:00 AM
hey... comedy actin cant be done by all.Its the talent. So they hav to b rewarded
Nothing is perfect but we measure something as how close something has reached perfection and i think 3 idiots has moved closer to perfection than any other film made in India.Awesome work by the director, actors, musician and all the other crew members of 3 idiots.

what an idiot women, u live in the 21st century not in the 50's someone tell her that her child probably knows more swear words than her.
Re: How would you rate it?
by BGK on Jan 12, 2010 04:53 AM
I agree, the jokes were very crude. Repeated use of cheap jokes with no point except to get a cheap-laugh. No way it is a family movie

So what really did you get frustrated with in any of the scenes in the film? Pregnancy-Delivery? -- Sense-ar-Board
I am sure that Madhavan is speaking about the effect his charcter has created upon the parent pecked youngters. Today's youth need to be guided along their prsonal abilities and dreams first.
I am sure Madv meant to compare with Ramgopal ki Sholay. I dispised the munna bhai series. I dispised the tarejaminpe and I am sure this new third idiotic movie will be more dispised especially due to the hype. The reason i dont care for such movies - is that they are based upon issues that are created by man. e.g. education system, taxes or lagan, corruption, voilence, etc. The real movie should be based upon more variety of emotions (not just comic) and situations not in control.
Re: I am sure Madv meant to compare with Ramgopal ki Sholay.
by rigved dubhashi on Jan 11, 2010 10:25 PM
Dude, movies themselves are created by man. What do you expect?
Re: I am sure Madv meant to compare with Ramgopal ki Sholay.
by Atul Raina on Jan 11, 2010 10:23 PM
if a movie has all emotions at same time, it'll not be a movie all..
Re: I am sure Madv meant to compare with Ramgopal ki Sholay.
by Indian on Jan 11, 2010 10:10 PM
It Might not be as big as Sholay, but it is far far better than any other movie in the recent past.
Amir Khan always helped people change their contemporary vision about not only entertainment but the fine societal values. if every child, every youth is treated as an individual gift the stigma of all discrimination will never exist. and that nothing but liberty of life.
