How do these movies qualify as 'Great Movies' when they haven't even released yet. They can be 'Highly Anticipated' movies... but Great? that's a big stretch.
2. get the leading star of the movie promote the movie in very sad ways even at the cost of nation's security.
3. release the movie in thousands of prints all over the world...they can always take back the prints if response is not good..so safe investment
4. double or triple the cost of the ticket
5. in 2nd week, create a controversey about the movie and maintain ticket costs high so that people keep coming.
v0ila, u have hundreds of crores made from the movie within 10 days...dosen't matter how many have exactly seen the movie...ask the dalal company of india for more advice on this great money making strategy....don't they do the same with their Stock IP0s too?

absolutely right.
3i is outstanding with performance of all artist including Amir who has 70% share
But this does not means 3idiot is best film amoung recent decades.
Even it is still below Lagan or Gadar or even Rang De Basanti and Ghajini.
3I worked Higest Grossing due to Holidays,High Cost of Tickets, Nos of prints which are higher then even Ghajini (my favorate one), NO competition of other big release and High class and negative Marketing.
But any way Money is Money and 3I is winner and unbeatable atleast for another decade.
