What great genres you have mentioned. All the above genres just require slick editing and good computer graphics..
Whereas to create a film like mother India needs to make so many actors emote to your will, and that too with money, technology constraints.
Mother India is a great film, with great acting from all actors.
Not to forget the heroic act of Sunil Dutt to save Nargis from the fire during shooting.

it depends upon the audience.. indian movies should have indian soul.. it wont work with hollywood mindset

greatest director with 2 to maximum 5 movies to credit belonging to the same old genre of with no attempts to do something new! a spielberg does a indiana jones along with jaws, ET, jurassic park, schindlers list, minority report, munich, saving private ryan to terminal!!! or a james cameroon with aliens, terminator, titanic, true lies or an avatar! is that called a director's range of genres or this mehboob khan's!! atleast vijay anand was a far better director with atleast 3 to 4 different genres! or even yash chopra has taken different genres! search for mehboob in any website and u will only see mother india! thats how great he is!

terminator was great movie and better than Mother India. Not only in term of technology but also in story and execution

web sites hahaha.. i hope u r kidding.. no need to argue.. its a known fact Mehboob Khan was one of the greatest directors our country has ever witnessed.. U can judge it more only if u understand the time period wen he was making movies.. some pre independence & even after that Indian cinema was not at its peak & the golden era was far away too.. Mehbob Khan, K.Asif, were the directors who were most respected by actors.. the command of a director which is no more there in teh industry.. & Mehboob Khan the great wil always be know for path breaking cinema
