With entire state & central machinery with 4 crore staff at their disposal MNIK collections are declared as just 47 Cr. That must be the 2 Chais each that the staff drank during the first 3 hours of launch.
I smell a very very big scam to divert funds in all this.
the audience is smart enough to see through all the hype, and issues.halls have less than 20 people watching them...and even they are not to be found after intermission.movie s a disaster.all this hype, was unnecessary,I guess this is new age publicity gimmick. kjo has adopted, even when kurbaan released, sainiks were tearing off kareena backless photos, as if there have never been any backless photos before..and now this.but in the end its the audience which wins,they can spot a bad movie from distance, in spite of the controversies surrounding it, all they want is a good movie.i am afraid, kjo has run out of ideas and so has shahrukh..srk is a good actor, chak de, swades are some of his finest work, he shouldnt be working with his closest buddies, it is they who are spoiling him.he should work only with new age directors like vishal bharadwaj,anurag kashyap.
Anyone who criticizes MNIK do not have any humanity left in him. The movie is awesome!! Shahrukh Khan will get an award for sure this year for his outstanding performance!!!.
This movie describes the true meaning of ISLAM to the world by giving the verses from Quran...May be hindu majority country like India will never accept the truth. So there is no wonder why Shahrukh Khan hasnt promoted in India and he promoted in UAE- Muslim country where it recorded highest for any bollywood movie. It crossed the collections of 3 idiots just like that!!... And Shahrukh also promoted in Berlin, UK ,USA - where the people who loves the classic cinemas!!
One question to all haters of Shahrukh and this movie. Does giving importance to HUMANITY and LOVE doesnt touch your heart???. Then trust me you people are no more alive!!. The movie which tells there are only two kinds of people in the world- good and bad. Doesnt this go down to your throat??

You can't make a crap and expect people to like it just because it has words like peace and humanity. If you make childish rubbish, people are not going to take it just because of the hype. Whatever initial collectins film has taken anywhere in the world is only because of hype. It will soon fall everywhere. It is a very manipulative film made with an eye on muslim population the world over.

many like you liked the movie,but honestly it gets long and get bored towards the end.the message is very good. yes we will always appreciate pakistan HATE kind movies and still do as MNIK told there are bad people in pakistan on name of islam...So do not relate islam always to pakistan..pakistan is indeed bad country..SAY JAIHIND ..and we are INDIAN and we are not terrorist.

Syed, There are several reasons for a movie to do well or otherwise. And before you sing praises of UAE and other foreign countries where Karan Johar/SRK kind of colorful eye candy made mainly for NRI audience always runs very well, do not forget that SRK is called King Khan and is considered number 1 in India, and it's in India that he has risen from a common man to Bollywood Badshah! Like the article above says a serious movie with a serious subject sometimes fails to hold a large section of audience in its thrall. 3 idiots is also a Khan ( AK) movie and is much liked by one and all. There are so many well made, meaningful films that don't become box-office successes. Please don't mix religion/state borders/language with comething purely commercial and entertainment oriented as movies.

Mr. syed , I and we liked the movie but honestly it is long and bored at the end, The message is strong and good, but making a movie does not clear all doubts against muslim's in world..like you are here .. why the hell muslims make hoo halla of there religion so much !! why you are confused in religion and movie with good message.. why you relate ISLAM with PAKISTAN ? is saying against pakistan is saying against ISLAM ?? clear out dude...we are surely against pakistan and we want to see there graves..after loosing so many INDIAN's surely we are! BUT we are not against MUSLIM in india.. So clear your doubt..and say JAIHIND...and we are indian,and we are not terrorist..

MNIK is a serious subject and not all sections of the audience take to these topics very well. As the above article says, a film of this subject matter is expected to be understood and appreciated better in cities than by masses. Truth finally prevalled after so much hype created by media channels, secularist and last but not least Baba Thackerys. I can't imagine star news creating so big hoo haah abt film, Mr nikhat kazmi of TOI giving 5 star rating to film whereas the same crap had given 3 idiots 3 star rating, guys wake up now we are no more fools of old days..........
