idiot, thats because everybody lapped up the movie in the first 7 days. by the eigth day, everybody had already seen the movie at least once.

indu b_h_a_d_w_a - don'u use your brain too much. 43% first week occupancy does not mean everyone lapped up the movie - it only mean d_i_c_k_s and v-I-l_l_a_g_e_r_s like you saw the FLOP movie which crashed by 80% from week 1 to week 2.
MNIK going strong in UAE, to open in West Asia Press Trust of India Thursday, February 18, 2010 (Mumbai)
Shah Rukh Khan's My Name Is Khanis the first Hindi movie to release in Egypt and will open in theatres across Jordan and Lebanon in the first week of March.
Similarly, the Karan Johar directed movie will be the first Hindi film to be released in Syria during the same period.
According to a spokesperson of Dharma Productions, the film has broken the record for the biggest opening for a Bollywood movie in the UAE, with some 1,35,858 tickets sold in the first four days of its release.
The spokesperson said 25 prints have been added today across the Middle East after a successful run in UAE and countries like Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar.
The total print count of MNIK in the West Asian countries stands at 61 prints with another 10 prints being added for Jordan, Lebanon and Syria by the first week of March taking the print count tally to 71.
In Singapore, the film has done a business of USD 210,000 in the first week, which is a record for Hindi film and the response is tremendous with great word of mouth as reported by the local distributor.
Australia and New Zealand have ended their first week collections over USD 690,000. In Hongkong the film is running to packed houses with great response.
My Name Is Khan has grossed a huge $8.25 million approx in the Overseas territory over its first week. The film has smashed the record of Three idiots which grossed around $7.5 million but that film had a huge advantage of Christmas week which has many holidays in the various Overseas markets. The business of My Name Is Khan in week one in the major markets is as follows.
United Kingdom - £1,325,000 (includes Paid Previews)
North America - $2,550,000
Middle East - $1,750,000 (8 Days)
Other big grossers like Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Om Shanti Om grossed $6m and $5.8m respectively in Overseas markets in week one.

SRK would make a politician for sure because he already knows when to open his mouth and when to keep it shut. He won't have to go for a probation period in politicians job.
Caste and Religion card is not only played in politics but also in filmdom and he leaves all other actors far behind in this.
