what is happened to the malayalam film industry. Mediocre films from hitherto good directors and scriptwriters are the order of the day. "Agathan" is simply a stupid, irresponsible, irrational, blasphemous and above all a foolish film. Was there no sane person around when Kamal and Kalavoor Ravikumar narrated the story and then came up with a stupid script. Why did sathyaraj want to act the part of a ridiculous "General". He should have done one of those interesting Tamil Movies instead. Dileep cannot be faulted for trusting his mentor.NB: (Sri Mohanlal):If the industry has to survive you should not ban Avatar or Three idiots instead ban "Agathan". I will have no qualms in shouting from rooftops and telling a 100 people that this is the "stupidest" film I have seen and it outruns "kappalu muthalali" in its stupidity.
This is just passing phase ..i mean not to old golden days but to shutter closing ceremony of malayalam movies.Days are counted.The industry is still surving on the shadow of the golden films which given by Lohi,bharathan etc some 15 years back.Until some miracle happened ,after 10- 20 years we call can tell THERE WAS A MALAYALAM MOVIE INDUSTRY.
I think, its all over for kamal. When did he made a good film last? Its time for him to make some classic movie, not some formulae movie any more. Earlier, he used to be a trend setter. but now, he is out of ideas. He should take some time off from movies.
