True, MNIK hasn't lived up to the hype unfortunately!
by Venkat on Feb 15, 2010 09:43 AM

For a change a very good & as 'true' a review one can get & though I'm tempted to say Ms.Verma has been the most consistently good reviewer I've come across, her take on 'Rann' being absolutely insipid makes me think twice! Anyway putting perspecive on MNIK, I agree the mive is brilliant albeit only sporadically & before I write anything further, I would want to hereby nudge KJo into going back into the candy floss romances that he has made a name for himself in as contrary to persceptions, these movies aren't easy to make by any stretch of imagination just as how difficult, simple Manmohan Desai movies were to make. The script falters big time & the most important part of the story wherein justifying circumstances that leads to Khan to make his journey is just not happening. If the concept of a man feeling wronged by society, going to the extent of complaining to the President of the country isn't a frivulous enough, the circumstances that lead him to embark on this journey is laughable even after taking into consideration his mental maturity! The blacks singing the english version of 'Hum honge Kaamyab' is funny to say the least, this streak of silly cinema is being consistently noticed from KJo's stable of work, a scene that reminds one of the school children & parents standing up to the Indian national anthem in America seen in 'K3G'. KJo needs to desperately revert to his brand of cinema whilst fully forgetting what certain sections of the prudish media have

Overrated

Overrated movie. SRK was good, movie is good for first 30 mins, then it drags and drags with some unrealistic scenarios and events used in the movie to misguide Indians who dont know how US actually works, then some nonsense preachy dialogs and impractical climax. It will earn more than 100 crores due to all the hype around it, but not even SRK's biggest fan would dare to watch this movie twice, the reason why it will lag behind other greats like DDLJ, 3 Idiots, Gadar etc.

What a nice planning with help of Porki loving idiot Congress Govt.
It was planned with D Company,ISI Agent having office in Bhe Bazar,Le T,Indi Muzaidin and above all SRK in Mannat
Raised false news of Nude Photograph on London Airport and created sensation among idiot Indian Fan
Then made some proPaki statements to create sentimental attack on Indian People to take sympathy from Porki Congress Govt..This was to ensure film hit,
All police force were deployed by Govt for promoting SRK film so that Muslim votes are ensured for all next election.
Profit will go to terrorist fund
Now our HM Chindu with his loose xxgi making statement that there was no mistake by Police
Police along CM ,Home Minister of Maharashtra were busy in promoting SRK Film so how they can they protect German Bakery ?
One of terrorist link is definetly with Mannat
However our Pro Porki Congress will not understand

The movie is crap.SRK tries to copy Dustin Hoffman in rain man.The story is loosely based on the story of Forrest Gump.I feel KJO has paid Shiva sena to create controversy for a crap movie and Raja sen to write good review..
