The song grows on you and simply swallows you with the endearing and soulful singing of Alphonse.Alphonse has breathed life into this powerful song. AR Rahman's genius has lifted this song to stratospheric heights with rare use of Hindustani raga with rock. Hats off to both the singer and the composer
First when I heard this song, i was sure Rahman has moved to a new genre of music, thats psychedelic rock. But when I did post mortem I came to know that this song is done on bhagesree raga...
This song will make revolution in music field as it relates the unrelated Rock music and Hindustani. Rahman could find no better options than Alphons to sing this awesome song.

Heard this song and to be honest, this is just another ok song.It is another overrated music album. Varanam ayiram songs are far better than VTV.Anyway truth is alwayas bitter.

My dear Rajendra Kumar, If you had listened to some of Ilayaraja's songs in 80s (need not even be his best), I am sure you will take back this sentence. I think you are listening to movie songs after quite a long time. There is nothing so much as you have mentioned.
