Its a pathetic movie..don't waste your money dude.... every scene and story is jus copy of many hollywood movies...still Billa hangover...no comedy, no gud song and story...plz avoid...
I have seen Asal at Ahmedabad on first show. Believe, it is a utter flop movie of old james bond remake. All the scenes of illogic, the comedy by yugu sethi is irritating and sameera reddy is pathetic. Ajit please retire and concentrate on car racing only.

dude...ajith relies only on the urban ppl to run his movie..whereas for vijay he has got a wider base....his vettaikaran is still running even though the movie is not good...so its only for ajith to pull up his socks and come out with something good....
ajith always has a look of a man on an mission...sometmes a look of constipated man....he cant dance for sure...he has poor timing when it comes to comedy...

After I witnessed the the average releases this year Tamizh Padam was a gift. When I heard that Ajith's movie is to be released on 5th I was hoping for a good movie. But yesterday evening i was disappointed. I dont watch a lot of tamil movies I like english movies. So when I watch a Tamil movie I want it to be original this movie has lots of lifts from english movies. For example the scene where ajith reassembles the gun is a lift from new police story. The RR and songs are lifts from James bond movies. Is it necessary to do such movies. Not at all. The review is not biased. I dont think the movie will do good at the box office because except ajith fans nobody seemed to like the movie. These days heros are obsessed with images. The song are boring to listen and to watch. Watch AASAL if you have nothing to do (not mentioned to ajith fans).
The movie is good. No dull moment. Yes I accept the story is a tried and tested one.But for that matter, any story presented today is tried and tested already. Presentation is what that matters and the team scores fairly well - would rate 7/10.
And also I accept that BGM is a really let down in some places.
Usage of 'Thala' in a couple of places could have been reduces - nevertheless the filmmakers will have to satisfy the fans too. Guess saran went a little overboard here.
Might have used Kelly a bit more and Prabhu was sweet in his short role.
To sum it up, this movie is far more stylish and suave than Billa but as a package it is a little - only a little (say 10%-15%) less entertaining than Billa.
I used to admire reviewer Pavithra's reviews in many occassions and relent a few filled with Bias. Unfortunately, this review happens to fall under the second category.
