Yeah it is best year for Tamils, Tamil puli Prabhakaran was done away with also that year releasing Tamils form bondage.
rehman is good only with his modern electronic gadget , just imagine if there were modern gadget at the time of r d burman than rehman was just a peanut

OK, what are you trying to prove that RDB is big, no doubt he is one of the legendary music director,but stop do not compare ARR as a peanut he is much more than that
rehman is a average performer before r d burman and s d burman. only thing is that they are not alive so rehman is moving ahead with his average music.

You are right. Rehman may be an average performer, but it is hard to find even one Rehman now. SD and RD cant come back for u but thank God Rehman can atleast get some thing for Indian music

But we have Ilayaraja, if Rahman is genious what do you call Ilaiyaraja? A super genious wont be enough.

CONGRATULATIONS., ARR himself will be amuse that the western world pouring awards for not one of his remarkable scores, but even one of the songs in slumdog millionaire has got the touch of the famous song in movie Kalnayak, but his real compositions where in movies like Roja, and amy more.Anyhow always we need an English director to promote us for awards from the west. yet congrats.

I am big fan of Rahman,, I personally dont feel Jai ho is his best work.. His talent should have been rewarded way way before for Roja, Bombay, Taal.... But now i hope Rahaman will get credit regularly for making music for Indian movies internationallyy not to wait for any Gora to make a movie based on India.. Rahmanji All for fans like us all this awards simply doesnt matter U r the best music talent India has produced ever..

Ilayaraja has reached a stage where any award given to him would enhance the prestige of the award. It is also obvious that you were waiting for Rahman to get an award to enjoy his music. I have always enjoyed Ilayaraja's music award or no award.
