The only hero in Malayalam film industry who really looks like a hero is Prithviraj. I mean in the modern generation. He definitely has the talent though I feel that he lacks depth at times. May be with experience he will improve.

It seems to me that right from the begining of pritvi's career all the prithvi haters tried to tag him as an arrogant guy... cos of his talent and good looks... they think that talented actors must be ugly like their favourite stars..

The so called Shakeela Movies are made for the liking of some cheap viewing in Tamilnadu, primarily catering to the lower working class and they can't be called as Mallu Movies. In fact the Malayalam Cine world produces much better quality movies with better storylines and scope for actors. So have some respect for Malayalam Movie World.

It depends on individual.. You only see Shakila Movies and you felt so.. Malayalam film industry has lot of talented people.. so they produce movies for everybody's taste.. you can find clasic ,humour , romance and Your favourite actess ( you mentioned in your post) movies..
For people like you may be the name suits .. but for rest of us we will name something else...

Wouldn't be cute hearing your own mother tounge being spoken by an outsider. It only shows that the person speaks so respects your langauage and culture. I was under the impression that Keralites are very accommodating that they could adjust anywhere in the world. So why take out on Prithvi for trying to appreciate the Punjabis. In fact Punjabis are one of few hard working and self respecting and at teh same time very sportive public in India. So I see no wrong in them being recognized on screen. All the best for the movie to succeed.
