Yes it should be banned to stop the vulgarity. I feel that talking now is giving more publicity to these things where as the censor board should have stopped it since the beginning. May be censor board is also a part of money making process or they have no powers at all. Showing these types of things in the films or as promotions on the TV is having bad effect on children.

Parents of a country with mind boggling population saying that sex scenes have bad effect on children is typical Indian thought. Heavens won't fall if children are exposed to such scenes.

dnt live in india, go and live in some non-democratic country where ppl like you can impose yur will dnt mess with ppl like us!! if u wnt dnt show it to your kids and family but u have no rights to force others to do the same thind, advice-ok, but impose-noooo , try imposing and u will land up in the hospital!
Indians are strange people.Fastest growing population,soon China will be left behing & in terms of Sex ,they call it vulgar if see any exposure.This is double talk. Indians should allow all type of sex exposure including XXX rated films on TV as by not doing that,Indians jump for sex as craze and behave live vultures in bed. Beleive me,population will stary once Indian society gets over this stigma. Munni & Shila fame movies should be made tax free.

no shashi, you are wrong. We should ban indian cinema showing women on screeen, also female voice. Women can just be shown in an cinema or in television or any mass media (without any voice or background)only if they are completely covered (only eyes can be allowed to be open).
Also, all schools in India should be either boys' or girls' schools and never allowed to mingle until marriage. Love marriage and valentine's day should be announced anti-social and anti-cultural and banned immediately. No young people until marriage should be allowed to walk together, or go out together unless they have ID cards that they are siblings.
If we resort to such activities, vulgarity in society will decrease and finally stop. Police and other armed forces should be allowed by constitution to shoot at sight if someone resists these and all properties of people who promote women in mass media should be confiscated. NO alcohol, tobacco or intoxicating/addictive (including make-up kits/materials) should be sold, sellers and buyers should be penalized summarily.
India will become superpower with very good people in society, then.

Real life drama by Indians in India is worse than this song depiction (can any get a real count of rapes by common man and police in New Delhi alone?, the extra marital affairs by men and women) . Moral values and morality are totally defunct and are long gone. The scams in India are only a trailer. Indians have to come out and stop talking about their 5000 year old non-existent culture. Truth is for every one to see.

I feel that as a process of evolution of mankind, one cannot dictate the way society changes its views, opinions, preferences about ethics, morality whatever you call. Democracy gives us the right to disagree. State and judiciay will take care if there are any excesses beyond a limit. The only valid point made in the article is that the women/girls named SHEILA and MUNNI will face the burnt of the eveteasers. Otherwise, its fine to have entertainment in the movies.
The trailers of these songs come across as vulgar and one wonders why the heroines dont stop to step back and try to see for themselves how cheap it looks.
