Brilliant film...
by mailmail on Jan 16, 2011 04:45 AM

Its easy to review a film...putting in directors shoe..one can understand the effort that he has delivered...The whole movie is a not a revenge..its the deteriorating urban culture as a whole..Thats what the director tries to convey the audience...If a girl in the path of modernization watches this movie...and take extra caution in each and every step she takes...thats the real success of the director and thats what the director wants...This is not about culture or all those crap...a girl as an individual is so much precious as well as valuable and they should not fall under the clutches of the animals in mans mask...he delivers it rivetingly..A father or brother or a girl herself when watches this movie can understand what the director is trying to convey...as far as the violence...The character desereves it..only through such punishsments...next time someone will dare to do such a thing...Again its not culture or all those things..its valuing a girl/woman thats it..I think he should have personally experienced something that forced him to deliver a message to the society..and compared to Subramaniapuram and Nadogigal...

Easan - not a trademark of Sasikumar

If you expect someting out of the movie like Nadodigal and earlier ones, you will be surely disappointed. The movie spreads the negative energy and you cannot enjoy the movie or songs.
Filled fully with city side pub scenes and culture exploitation.
I am disappointed with this Movie. came out out as "pathoda padhinonnu"...No feel like watching sasi's movie

Easan is a worth watch but

I dont know how the writer is giving 3 stars to this film. Only first half deserves 3 stars and the second half deserves negative 3 stars especially the violent climax scenes. I dont know how the censor sleeps through the mindless and horrible violence. Atleast in Subramaniyapuram the film deserves the violence and Sasi shown there correctly. Now the censor should recertify the film and cut the violence in the climax. It seems Sasi made first half and he handed over the second half to somebody. Sorry Sasi. Better luck next time

ASHOK IYER
Copy of Hollywood
by ASHOK IYER on Dec 20, 2010 12:27 AM

Not only South movie but most or many of the movies in India are either influenced or directly taken from Hollywood now a days. We are lacking genuine talents in story and screenplay division. Only some regional movies with limited publicity and exposure have got experimenting directors. To write a story, they need some real exposure . But these people are not willing to work hard. So better get some DVDs watch Hollywood movies and rewrite it. They get good money for that.

Worth a watch.... but feels like dragging at few scenes. shortened version will definitely prove its worth.

Yes, this is a different movie unlike all movies claim.

Copycats

Ayyaanar, Siddu , vallakottai etc are useless malayam things and Viruthagiri surely a hollyhood. The 2nd half is so interesting that vijaykanth worries about marginalized albs of eastern Europe.

One should check for the nativity in the screenplay, script in the movies are can easily notice this in copycats.
