Madhuri Dixit is one of our finest ever stars, multi-talented and a gorgeous looking woman as well.
None of today's actresses hold a candle to her, she was a woman in the truest sense of the word.
Going by some of the comments here and on other topics, I have come to the conclusion that for most of Rediff readers, at least, beauty is less about actual looks and more about youth. So they find young models and actresses, particularly the less-dressed ones, beautiful, even if they look like they are the spawns of Godzilla, and call Aishwarya and Madhuri names like 'oldies', 'buddhis' etc.
I will refrain from giving a definition of beauty here, but I will say this: beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and if a few years more mar your perception of beauty, then you've got wonky eyes.

Well said,Sir.Especially in the case of Ash, people will call her names(I'm specifically pointing out Ash, as she is featured more here as compared to Madhuri).They both look beautiful and graceful.

what do you mean by Indian way? Beauty is not bound to any tradition. Beauty is perception of anything or being by anyone. Ash is beautiful that would acknowledge millions in the world and other thousands may not do so...however that is o.k.
I could see all idiotic morrons putting irrational comments..she is just amazing..they dont make them like her any more...she has aged gracefully..has a very successful married life too...look at other actres either they are breaking snatching married men aur filing for divorces..Madhuri is an amazing human being...

Agree, she is an amazing actress and human as well. She was incredibly beautiful and good looking in her prime and still does. In addition she was a fab actress and a great human as well, a rarity in film world.
She is one of the few actors who speak really good Hindi. Instead she insists on speaking in English with the godawful accent she has picked up in US. Really grates on my nerves! Please Madhuri, speak only in Hindi.
her dress is gaudy as the ones she wore in the 90s. SOme ppl never get it right. Thank God for MAnish Malhotra that some sense prevailed in the later part of the 90s. Otherwise Mads had made full arrangements to hijack "fashion".
