ok dude, I dont disagree with your comment, also the comment from the person here below. I too saw kannada movies, film industry and felt that they could not retain, use the better talents and cant market/showcase their movies. The whole film indusctry seemed to be ruined by some lobbyists and mean minded people, to the extent that they could not reach the audiences of their own state.

OK. It is your choice. Do not talk on behalf of people of NK. I am also from north Karnataka. I watch only Kannada movies, Kannada serials. Infact popularity of Hindi movies has diminished nowdays in NK. North Karnataka in genral and Hubballi is a major market to Kannada movies next to Bengaluru.

@North Krntaka : FYI, Im a Kannadiga somewhere frm south, who studied In Dharwad. I dint find anything as such, ur words may b partially true when u consider Urban areas, where ppl watch both Kannada and Hindi. But most of the locals frm Hubli nd Dhrwd (city) love Kannada flms. But I swear, if u go rural, none other than Kannada rules there. I studied in a reputed Engg college in Dwd, all of us used to watch Kannada, Hindi nd English movies, and most of the students loved to hear Kannada songs. And about the TV in our hostel, 24X7 it used to play Kannada music channels. Your statements making me guess, may b u r frm Belgaum city. And kind request plz dont give a wrong signal without knowing the truth around you. And dont impose ur Individual openion as the truth around u.
Rajani Kanth, Aishwarya Rai, Shilpa Shetty, Sunil Shetty, Deepika Padukone etc., shine outside Karnataka. Movies made with them run through out the World. But Kannada Movies does not cross Karnataka Border?

Bangaloreans are good at judging movies as we are the only people who see movies in all languages.
