moving ?

Its already done for..

The old charm and original, genuine culture that once endeared our movies to people from around the globe - from a bride in Turkey to a peasant in Russia to even a tribal in Africa is now GONE.

All we now have is just a rehashed rubbish culture portrayed by a number of wannabe WHITEYs who cant identify with India or her soul..

The worst part is - the audience is being TRAINED like monkeys to admire and praise these fraudsters subvert our once pristine culture into the gutters of conformity and melodrama.

So you're pretty much like every other freak that worships white skin?

The point is we make movies with singing and dancing because we are (or were) unique and didn't care what people outside thought because films like Sholay reached ALL of India rather then one divided section (Multiplex, Single Screen, other) and they were technically sound.

It doesn't matter if some guy in tukey watched it, even people from slums back then could watch these movies as they were mostly geared towards them - The Real India, Downtrodden India.

These wannabe whiteys is due to the obsession with white skin and the current government as well as the trying to ape the west mentality of pseudo-seculars by trying to push it close to capitalist America.

Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey - most shocking portrayal
by Animitra Chakraborty on Dec 06, 2010 08:10 PM  | Hide replies

Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey is the most shocking portrayal of Indian revolutionary movement thus far in Indian celluloid. An attempt was made to depict the same incident in a Bengali film decades back and it was named “Chattagram Astraghar Lunthon”. Undoubtedly the film was mediocre as far as resources and several other aspects were concerned. But it did surpass others in one respect; there was no fraudulence in the basic endeavor.

There was a genuine effort in the movie to depict the event that had taken place in Chittagong on April 18, 1930 and later like a good number of other Bengali films. Several Bengali films have been made to revere revolutionary activities in pre-independence Bengal.

This film lacks in everything, forget of ideal portrayal of characters. What is most striking is the body language of actors playing the roles of revolutionaries. Surely there are other powers behind the curtain. We would make a mistake by considering this as the failure of the director only. These covert powers through these types of productions make a great attempt to negate the Indian revolutionary movement and its far-reaching consequences.

Can’t we consider this as a fine approach to make youngsters skeptical of Indian revolutionaries so that any desire to find out whereabouts of Netaji in post-1947 period is nipped in the bud?

I have a conviction in this.

Abhishekh Bachchan was the wrong choice. He does not have a screen presence and his body language is poor. To portray the role of a leader, a revolutionist, what you need is passion. Abhishekh Bachchan is not somebody who can do justice to such historical characters

Totally agree with you.
I think, Manoj Bajpayee can do more justice to this character.
A wrong choice by the director. Though the script is good, it fails to create a spell in the mind, due to low quality act.

Yeah. Abhishek is not actor material. It is amazing he has survived 10 years and still gets offers to act in lead roles. Even with the Bachchan surname, a 10 year stay for a non-actor is simply amazing.

They are also factually incorrect.. RC1 is a superhit in Telugu (not that people down in AP are artistic minded to understand RGV's class, but they were thrilled that how could some0ne like RGV be so brave to defy thousands of death threats and potential murder attempts and show reality more or less as it happened).

That said, RC1 and RC2 are meant for civilized, brave & honest people, who are capable of handling reality... not the melodramatic pinkchuddies and the candlelighting junta.
