Problem with bollywood...pathetic remakes
by TruthAndFact on Aug 30, 2010 10:56 AM  | Hide replies

Apparently remade from Tamil film Magalir Mattum - Kamal Hassan..Kamal even if handles early hollywood comedies, shapes the story and he himself rewrites screen plays catering to a middle class, - common man level and can entertain the audience by signing quality artistes...low budget movie went on to become a big blockbuster...

Bollywood ruins the concept by adding cosmetic stuff, on top of a story with rich story line and derailing it...Ghajni hindi version is a good example..Aamir Khan's poor imitation of Surya...needless party numbers just to exploit Rahmans talent..

Once bollywood audience likes these cosmetic stuff, the so called creators makes it a point to remake them again and again.

Another pathetic remakes from Bollywood..Movies like Akele Hum Akele Tum (absolute gibberish movie with OTT acting) compared to a all time great movie Kramer vs Kramer... Reservoir dogs pathetically remade as Kaante...

Many more...It looks more horrible when Bollywood snatches it from the west, rather from the south...

.............to completely mess up a remake. lol

The original tamil version "Magaleer Mattum" that was released 15 years back was too good.......

Its pity that few people cannot even make a good remake film.

Showcasing talentless people has become a generic problem
by Aman Sawant on Aug 28, 2010 10:02 AM  | Hide replies

Any movie that has a nauseating cast of Celina Jaitley(zero acting skills), Isha Kopikar(10% acting skills) and gul Panag(reasonable actress) should be avoided as it is.....

The movie has to be a disaster as is the case with any movie today, with any new director or script writer..

Bollywood today has degenerated to such an extent that we actually have to respect a mdediocre actress like Katrina Kaif.....

Gone are the days of Rekha, Rakhi Gulzar, Smita Patil, Shabana.....what we have today is a a set of extremely smartly dressed men and women with zero talent...but same is the cae in corporate circles too today.....

There was a time when corporate circles respected a guy for the talent he had and effort he put...today, doleouts and freebies are given based on how flashy you are and how snazzy your phone is.....which means that even talented people are focusing more on looks and superficial attitudes...best example of this is the BPO industry...frankly, if we leave out English speaking skills, most of the guys in BPOs can't even multiply 2 numbers...they are that bad...except flasy attitudes and flashy cells, (which their 25K to 35K per month salary is good enough to buy), they don't have anything else.......i can say this cos i teach in a training institute and have seen such duffers....that i wonder how such duffers can earn even a pittance.....
Had it not been for the BPO sector, these guyas would not even earn Rs 8000 per month in a government job.....

BPO workers are robots. they cannot answer the simpliest of questions if the answer isn't on their screen. No wonder the west thinks they're pests. Teach them human relations as well. Bloody dummies..
