You clearly dont know who Surya is. Instead of comment without knowing, stop being so ignorant. Post-Nandha (his first film where we recognised him as an actor), he has only had 2 flops. The rest were mostly hits & super-hits. Even his last 5 films were in the range of Super-Hits to Blockbusters.

Did u ever saw surya's film before in your life? All his film is super hit. even amir khan acted in gajini after surya acted in tamil. the 8 pack of amir khan is the inspriation of surya.. more over now a days most of the hindi film are south remake. dont comment on actors without knowing them

cant agree more Joe...ppl just comment, just b'cos they have to..I think ppl should be more responsible when they talk abt a legend like Suriya
Who cares whether YOU are accepted in bollywood or not.....For us you are just a SUPERB actor! I'm a malayalee but for sure I never miss your films..especially after your 'Nanda'. For me you are the next Kamal Haasan....and I think many believe so. Even the perfectionist Aamir was just next when compared you both in 'Ghajini'.

@lankapat, you back again here. dark and light skinned, maybe in your dark skinned family you might have a light skinned baby, you should check with your ladies for the reason. one of the reason is that you are too pokey in others life and thats why someone light skinned has poked in your house. is your country so useless for you or the sperm created you is of an indian which makes you to hover around here.

Complexion is not important in Indian film industries.......Ofcourse Bollywood audiance new that most of the south Indian stars are Dark.......... Surya is very big star in South India.........i think Bollywood accepts his superb acting..........Good Acting is accepted in Indian not on complextion wise.....

whatever might be the case, our own weapon is dark, even then opposite sex attracts on that & nowadays even same sex
Many south Indian actors made their marks in Bollywood..for example,Rekha,Sridevi,JayaPrada,KamalHassan,RajniKant,Revathi,VijayaShanti,Chiranjeevi,etc.
If you get a good director like ManiRatnam or Priyadarshan,a good script,you will be sure successful in Bollywood !

Yes...am sure this will be opinion of all; he ahs selected a bad-titled and bad director (or I should say scrap director) film for the debut is the worst decision can any new comer take. He is so talented and it really makes one go blank on his selection capabilities...anyways...I hate the title of the film...RGV - chage it if you want to survive...enough of your flop series and please end them NOW...

many time mughal and english kicked you all, they are like ur god, but the south who resist the i_d-i_o_t preaching and stood against the all invasion and continued to be a identical of indian culture as on date are appeared to u as an asura! You know one thing, no one has the right to educate theirself except brahmin and some rulers before the mughal and english invasion. Why not?? If Surya is good then definately Bollywood would accept.....take examples of Kamal Hassan, Sridevi, Hema Malinin, Vaijayanthi Mala , Rekha etc..... Bollywood should accept anything that is Good.
Does rediff ever talk about marathi movies??? No I am not Raj Thakrey fan , am rather from Karnataka , however recentlly a list of marathi movies have been in the running list for OSCAR nominations and rediff is unaware of how the mid years BORE marathi movies have come of age with various subjects like DOCTOR - Patient relation ship, cure, common mans woes etc much away from the love and gangster fight senes. Recently I happened to see SUBtilted movies and really liked them.

So far Surya has done more Versatile characters than Aamir Khan has tried out in his entire career...albeit being 10-12 years Junior to Aamir.
Aamirs recognition as an actor in Bollywood is all about either an innocent villagers role or an angry young mans role, nothing beyond that...
For Surya Ghajni(easily overshadowing Aamir Khan's Hindi version), Vaaranam Ayiram (life of a man a Father and a sons role), Nanda, Perazhagan(physically handicapped), Kakha Kakha(subtle underplaying easily at a higher level than what Aamir did in Sarfarosh) these roles Aamir hasnt done so far in his career..
Aamir's acting is great by bollywood standards, his movies are at a higher level than his bollywood contemporaries...But overall in Indian panoroma it would take some doing for him to reach the levels of Dilip Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar.
