Peepli Live : Best satire in India since Jaane Bhi Do Yaron. For people who will understand the satire and layers will be delighted and will think..Those who will not understand will either laugh or shout "kya bakwaas hai"...

Even farmers didn`t like it ..Groups in Vidarbha object to the portrayal of farmer suicides, burn Aamir's effigy , They've said that the movie is an insult to farmers who have been victims of the system. They feel that by showing a farmer deciding to commit suicide just for the sake of compensation, the filmmakers have made light of a serious issue.

This movie will easily cross the collections of 3 idiots by a huge margin...sorry Aamir. You are a great actor and director and people praise you as perfectionist but you have not encountered with amazing director named 'SHANKAR'!!!. He made only 10 movies till now but all his movies are blockbusters!! And south big heroes almost beg to act in his direction.
Shahrukh got the chance of acting in 'The Robot' but he missed the great opportunity which he is going to regret soon.
'THE ROBOT' with Rajni has great expectations all over the world with A R Rahman- it has crossed all limits. No wonder why a song from 'The Robot' TOPs the list in ITUNES which no bollywood movie has ever achieved.
Amitabh called Rajni as 'Rajni Sir' during audio launch in mumbai. Rajni is the highest paid actor in Asia next to Jakie chan!!!. Aishwarya got 9 crores for 'The Robot' and A R Rahman got 10 crores!!!

hehe.. good dream to have.. like Hindi version of Shivaji, it will sink without a trace.
Bollywood viewers taste is very narrow, and prefer standard masalas only.. they might not appreciate anything different..
Peepli live starts off well, and we build our hopes that this film is going to showcase the REAL INDIA. Soon this hope is put to an end, and the film starts its desperate attempt to make the audience laugh. Filthy language, village goons all with standard performances. There is no stand out performance in this film.
Apart from the college students in the hall, who virtually laughed at every scene, none of the mature audience seemed to be impressed.
Then comes the barrage of TV reporters and the films focus is no more on the farmers plight, from here on its about proving that the TV reporters are doing this for TRP's.
I would say Welcome to S_A_J_J_A_N_P_U_R was much better movie than this, since both fall in the same genre.
The climax is unfinished business and leaves you with no clear message or conclusion.
The only good thing is the music from Indian Ocean, very apt for the genre of the movie.

...oh! and also the death of the good journalist is symbolic way of showing the death of truth in India n that also a silent sad one people dont remember them :( [Anyway u seem to be an intelligent guy pls think and u will come up with many good symbolic depiction from the masterpiece satire.. Coming to the other film u mentioned Welcome to sajjanpur was also a great film but may be the name Aamir Khan was not thr so didnt get the hype..But then what to do Aamir Brand is so succesful who makes good movies and makes audience thinks unlike other idiot superstars who make either housefu or idiotic MNIK whr the msg dies due to the over the top melodramatic narrative

Dude u didnt understand the end.. the climax is awesome layered one which makes it to the sundance film festiva. Look the end can be interpreted in two ways.. 1st --> It shows the diff between gaon n sahar with the unique way moving the camera backward...it was evident.. n 2nd --> the sad one.. Even though Nathya didnt die he is lost in the crowd of a big city away from his home..but then he knew that no one was his "apna" way back in Peepli..Being in big city we have seen many workers in diff constructional areas .. may be many of them have a sad history behind them Like Nathya... While writing I was recollecting the film again.. what a masterstroke script it is..hats off to Rizvi for making such a satire with emotional touch

hey Mr. Newton.....y cant u write a book...novel for 'ordinary' ppl like us to understand peepli live. It may be hard for you...but you have to diest like other fan's like us that this movie was utter crap...layers of crap, if have to be described in your words..

aamir is not only great he is god of Bollywood..people liek Aamir,Anurag,Vishal,Dibakar are doing good and diff movies..hats off to them..SRK,Akshay n all pls learn lesson from them (and also the audience who loves housefull or rab ne bana di grow up)
