Absolutely correct, its timeless and matchless beyond space and time, universal in nature and spirit.

Hinduism

It is sad that promotion of Hinduism is left to a Hollywood celebrity just like the other iconic practices(Yoga,Ayurveda) which originated from India!Just because Julia Roberts adopts it many Indians will copy it just like they do western movies;music & lifestyles!"Look West" policy makers in India have neglected the astounding wisdom contained in the Puranas and have basically "aped" the West and its values instead of delving into the original philosophies of this great country!Hinduism is above various religions(which are personality based). It promotes individual search for higher truth and is not bound by any doctrine(the cause of strife in this world). It teaches that the ultimate truth or God can be realised in many ways and should not be compartmentalised through narrow religious tenets! Such a great philosophy or way of life needs promotion to bring peace to the fractured world torn apart through religious differences! BJP which purports to promote Hinduism is promoting a radical Hindutva which is the very antithesis of this great philosophy -which is all inclusive! We Indians should be proud of our heritage and promote its great tradition! We are waiting for celebrities from the West, who have realised its greatness, to make us look at our proud heritage and regain it!

You are mistaken. She is not promoting, but is explaining the reasons why she has converted and this after she was interviewed by a reputed magazine. She did not convert for personal gains but genuinely out of sheer love for Hinduism. Pls note that her interest dates back to 1970s when she was at the peak of her fame then.

Breaking News!!! Julia's Interview 11th Aug 2010
by Venkata Subramani on Aug 13, 2010 07:33 AM  | Hide replies

Roberts also answered rumors that say she's turned to Hinduism. "That's been kind of misrepresented. First of all, I can't be Hindu because I'm not from India," but Roberts explained she has been fascinated with the religion for a very long time and finds it "celebratory and thoughtful."

And what would she like to come back as? "I don't know. I'm happy with this carnation."

I will give the link if u want..venkeee at yahoo com

Hinduism is not Indian anymore..Hinduism is a global religion and a big portion of Hindus have no connection nor any link with India at all..indeed Hinduism has planted itself in the outside of India while India turns more & more away from its roots. It would be an insult to call a Bangladeshi Hindu and Indian, so would a Balinese Hindu, who is a very proud one and in no way even ethnically connected to India. The more India is dissociated from Hinduism the better. Ms Roberts is most welcome to millions of Hindus who are honored to share this spiritually lofty religion which is so unlike the predatory Middle Eastern 'my way or highway' creed. Ms Roberts must help propagate this refreshing religion.

There is no doubt that Hinduism will rise itself and take its rightful place across the globe soon. It is bound to happen sooner than later.

Correct, her fascination goes back to 1970s and she has been practicing incognito since then, only openly revealing today that she does that. She is genuine and will remain genuine till her death.

Hinduism is practicing by many believers through out of the world. From Indonesia to Cambodia, from Thgailand to Mangolia. So, it is not alone in India or it's naeighbour countries alone.
