Re: Top 3 Timeless Beauties of India

Ash is fair skin not beauty. beauti of woman is love, compassion like Mother terrasa.
Hema Malini is only Timeless, true beauty in all. Others beaties come and go as time goes. But quality remais quality. Just by saying Aish is beatiful first by media and then assumed by people fact is not changed. Sugar remains sugar irespective of time

Sure, Hema is one of a kind, timeless and beyond compare. She has a beauty that goes beyond oceans and mountains, never boring to watch over and again day and day year on year. Wah! Hema, what a dame!
here is the example of time less beauty suchitra sen, medha patkar,Aruna asaf Ali,Jane Goodal(chempazi reseracher) and even Meryl streep all are time less beauties and of course sophia loren. In comparison to these Ladies ASH is simply not up to the mark.
Many people have commented that Aishwarya is not as beautiful as Indian media touts it to be. Some comments indicate that 90% of western girls look like her and they are considered only ordinary in their countries. Though I see where it is coming from, it does not make Aishwarya less beautiful. I think the essence is that we Indians equate fair skin and balanced features as beauty which is a norm among all caucasian women. I am not saying it after reading any book or newspaper. It is out of personal exposure for last 20 years. Aishwarya is accepted as beauty in west, not simply for her looks (because she does indeed look like majority of ordinary girls in west), it is because of her bollywood popularity and her supposed intelligence and her Indian background. You do not find her in much commercials/adverts in west because her looks are nothing new for these people. Compared to that Freida Pinto is considered equally beautiful in west whereas in India we would not even want to give her any movie since Slumdog Millionaire. Om Puri is considered handsome in west. It is all because in west the beauty is not skin deep and internal strength of character is the measure of beauty. Unfortunately, in India, fair skin and symmetric face itself can make you the timeless beauty.

Aishwarya Rai is surely beautiful and also someone who has vastly benefited from great marketing and PR. And I say "great marketing" with the utmost admiration. It's commendable that Indian PR and marketing firms were able to sell the Ash product the way they did!
But I don't think Aishwarya is really known or accepted among the masses here (in the US) like the media likes us to believe. She appeared on talk-shows and came across as either a bumbling id1ot or too arrogant for her own good (Letterman and Oprah). Her Hollywood movies have fallen flat on its face and no one went to see the movie coz Ash was in it (Pink Panther 2, Mistress of Spices, Bride and Prejudice).
I don't completely buy the argument on Freida Pinto either. She is good looking but she does not stand out in India coz she looks like any other beautiful women here. But to a western audience, her dark skin and looks are "exotic" and she stands out there among the rest. Like Naomi Campbell ... does Naomi have a big fan following in Africa as she has in the US and Europe? Perhaps not... That's what people like - exotic looks. Ash in India is exotic coz of her "firangi" looks but a Freida Pinto is like "ghar ki daal" :))

Every body behaves as per their standard. Aish has limited class standard so her limits were up to salman, abhi vivel etc. Though in India she is great but in west and in Arab world her look is nothing. But we Indians have limited reach like frogs in pond most of us do not know what is in rest of world. We apreciate what we see.
