Confusion everytime
by nitish arora on Aug 08, 2010 05:04 PM  | Hide replies

Whenever I wish to review on any movie release on rediff, there is the same old story. There is always a war :
Reviewer Vs Raja Sen
Now, Reviewer Vs Sukanya
When you all people start watching movies with an independent thinking??
Ever person have different opinions. We aall are not the same.
So, enjoy the movie, write your review whether good or bad and take a glass of beer........chillzzzzzz

Review needs a review!
by Michael Angelo on Aug 08, 2010 04:25 PM  | Hide replies

More than the movie,it is this review which needs to be reviewed. First off nobody in India knows Emma. Second nobody knows of Jane Austen. So this review was total garbage. Nobody would understand this review. A person who writes a review should understand he/she is doing so in order to help the readers form an educated opinion about the film. But the reviewer tries to show off her convent education and completely forgets about the film. One of the worst reviews ever written.

jane austen is definitely famous in India& her novels are well liked,Inmy college days all my girl friends always read her novels and I am surprised to hear your strong comments. This story is so indian, slick production,no boring scenes,no vulgar display or fights and stunts
It was a smooth movie something like summer of 42 in English, and rarity to see a Hindi movie.story is good.If only they had added a Sharukh or Abhi and a few romantic songs& 2 stunts, streching the movie by 30-40 minutes more,it would have been super duper hit.But I spent a quality peaceful entertainer.

Reserving Judgement
by Venkatesh S on Aug 08, 2010 02:51 PM  | Hide replies

Interesting review. Will comment more once I see the movie. Am surprised at reading all the comments though - people who do not understand English should refrain from visiting the blog than berating the reviewer. Whether you agree with her/him on the review is entirely your prerogative; I found the review quite readable.

Rediff discussion board

Who are these people commenting on rediff posts. Read each and every news and then read pathetic comments. Sometimes these comments have nothing to do with the news. Its time rediff should disable comments section

Sukanya, stop writing....
by Raj on Aug 08, 2010 10:51 AM  | Hide replies

This review is a tragedy.

Who is this Sukanya Verma? And why does she write for Rediff? Ahh...it now makes sense....she writes for Rediff because Rediff is meant to publish crap.

Every fourth line in this review is about the movie...the rest is about how articulate Sukanya really is. Oh come on Sukanya,I know you have 4 large dictionaries...something most of us perhaps can't afford...but for the love of god you'd do well in your career to avoid phrases such as 'steady cattiness'.

Strunk & White....grap a copy...and let go of your over-sized dictionary...and your over-sized ego.

Crap review
by Sean Fernandes on Aug 08, 2010 10:46 AM  | Hide replies

I fell asleep in the first paragraph of this review, seems like Ms. Sukanya thinks she's Emma's daughter or something. Sukanya have you heard of KISS (Keep it Short & Simple).

this review is as crap as the movie itself...humble advice to reviewer to just get into any multiplex and check the audience's reaction....ppl were hooting, obviously not for gud reason.
